Multiplex pulse synchronization technology of ns level is widely used in many fields,such as national defense,industry,medical treatment,environmental protection and so on.Traditional multiplex synchronization technology applies gas switch,magnetic switch or laser trigger switch as main switch.For traditional gas switch,it is difficult to operate at high repetition frequency,since the electrode erosion would shorten the run time.The operating conditions of laser trigger devices are strict,which adds the expense of the whole device.Common magnetic switch and pulse transformer are independent,which would result in a larger number of applied magnetic cores and a higher cost.Saturable pulse transformer(SPT)is a kind of pulse power device which integrates pulse transformer and magnetic switch.By the conversion of the magnetic core from unsaturated state to saturated state,the SPT can be applied as a pulse transformer and a magnetic switch at the same time.In this paper,the parallel structure is used in SPT,which decreases saturation inductance of SPT.Based on SPT,a multiplex pulse synchronous trigger is proposed.The main works are summarized as follows:Firstly,grouping parallel saturable pulse transformer is designed in this paper.Besides,the characteristics of SPT under the unsaturated and saturated of the core are analyzed.The characteristics of SPT are as follows: 1)the parallel structures is applied in the SPT primary winding,therefore,SPT remained high transformation ratio when the turns of the secondary windings becomes less;2)the parallel structure is also applied in SPT secondary winding,so the saturated inductance of SPT is less;3)because of the magnetic core saturation,the magnetic coupling effect of the SPT primary and secondary windings is weak.The SPT secondary saturation inductance decreases as the ratio of primary and secondary current Ip/Is increases,so that the Lss can be decreased by increasing the input voltage.A six-way synchronous generator based on SPT is proposed in this paper.The effects of the load resistance,saturable inductor and capacitor on the output waveform are analyzed by software simulation.The results show that when the load is changed from 100 ? to1 k?,the half-width and the pulse rise time is changed from 20 ns to70 ns and 9 ns to 15 ns,respectively.The pulse rise time decreases as the load increases,and the peak voltage will increase if the load resistance increases.Besides,when the load resistance reaches up to a certain value,the peak voltage will not increase any more.If the saturated inductance Lss ranges from 1?H to 10?H,the output waveform half-width and pulse rise time will range from 23 ns to 67 ns and from 12 ns to 28 ns,respectively.The peak voltage will increase and the rise time will become smaller as the decrease of Lss.If the pulse capacitor ranges from 0.1 nF to 1 nF,the pulse half width and pulse rise time will range from 46 ns to 250 ns and from 16 ns to 30 ns,respectively.As the capacitance increases,leading edge becomes larger and the circuit discharge time becomes longer,while the peak load voltage is substantially unchanged.The experiment of the six-way synchronous generator has been carried out,and the results suggests: when the applied voltage is 1.5 kV,the pulse half-width is about 200 ns,pulse rise time is about 170 ns and six-way synchronization accuracy is 17 ns.The effect of load resistance and input voltage on output waveform has been studied by tests.The test results show: 1)with the load resistance increasing,the pulse half-width increases gradually,and the relationship between the multiple pulse synchronization precision and the jitter of the SPT is not obvious;2)with the primary voltage increasing,the pulse raise time,the pulse half-width and the delay time of SPT will decrease.As a result,the synchronization precision will increase gradually.
