Objectives: To assess the effect of ozone treatment with or without fluoridefor initial occlusal caries in deciduous molar, and to investigate their remineranization effect on bovine enamel.Study 1. Methods: DIAGNOdent were used to detecte the initial occlusal caries in deciduous teeth, and drew the lesions site in the form. Clinical Severity Index (Ekstrand , 1998) , the DIAGNOdent (KaVo, Germany) and ECM (LODE BV, Netherlands) readings were recorded on each carious lesion. All the children were randomized into 4 groups. Group 1 were reserved as controls. Group 2: the lesions were treated with ozone(using the Heaolozone unit, Kavo, German) for 20s. Group 3: the lesions were treated using fluoride vanish (Duraphat, Colgate). Group 4: after applied ozone, the lesions were treated using remineralization solution provided along with the Healozone. After 1 3 6 months, the lesions were reexamined with the same methods as baseline.
