The Pilot Study On Qizhi Doctrine And Qizhi Scale Of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM-QZS)

The present age, the studies of Chinese Medicine has two venations: one is the modern research on physiology, pathology and diagnosis of TCM; another is the whole research, not only on human body but also on psychology .The latter, in exterior sense, embodies psychosomatic idea and promotes the medical mode to transform from biology mode to biopsychosocial medical model. What is more, it is accord to the medical aim that based on human and everybody shares health in 21st century. The doctrine of TCM Qizhi highly sums up the body-mind theory of TCM. The thesis discusses TCM Qizhi doctrine beginning from the psychosomatic theory, based on TCM psychology, and combines with modern main psychology idea. Further, we try to research on "TCM-QZS" design by professor Zhuwenfeng by which to explore a way to objectivate the Qizhi diagnosis.The research work is composed of three parts: first of all, makes a research on the theory proposition of TCM Qizhi. There is an abundance of evidence,both ancient and mordern, depicting the similarities between Chinese and Western psychosomatic medicine to expound the origin, characteristics, meanings, structures and modern sense of Qizhi theory. Secondly, clinical survey research that explores the idea of professor Zhuwenfeng on Qizhi doctrine and contrasts it to modern research both internal and overseas to validate the scientific sense of TCM-QZS and then open out the rationality and factual value. This work are generalized as follow: using 46 items designed by professor Zhu wenfeng as the core of the work, took a large number of sampling as first hand data to validate the reliability and validity that validate the scientific sense, veracity, and practicability and establish a base for further research. Analyse the 46 items, interior structures, and theory conceiving via the frequencies of A,B,C,D appears in each item and distributions in each kind of Qizhi style.Analyse the relativity within three main kinds of valuing system: five-Yin-Yang-styles, five-elements styles and activity-silence styles via the parallel of those data; Bring forward elementary suggestions on how to perfect the TCM-QZS on the base of above works. Thirdly, introduce information technique to TCM Qizhi diagnosis to develope "Value system of TCM Qizhi" which resolves the problem of complex counts and estimates, still formally, takes the place of paper-pen test. The development of the computer system is necessary condition and means for the smooth progress of the thesis.The conclusions are as follow: from the development trend of medical development and the conversion of medical model, TCM Qizhi theory surely accord with modern medical model and modern Psychosomatic medicine .The Qizhi doctrine of TCM is the special theory and practice system that is different from the "Personality" and "Temperament" in west psychology and constitution too, so it can't be replaced. The 21st century is the age of Psychosomatic medicine, when the Qizhi doctrine in Neijing behoove us to develop. It is necessary to develop TCM Qizhi scale owing to the limit of west personality scale. It has been proved that TCM-QZS possess scientific sense and high reliability, validity, practicability and feasibility. It's structures and graded methods are reasonable. The results accord with theory conceiving. The thesis is only a start of the study and there will be a long way to go before us.
