April 18,2007 the railway in our state took the sixth time large-scale acceleration, the speed reached 200 km/h, and the 250 km/h line had reached 846 kilometers, the acceleration effectively easing the contradiction between traffic and transport capacity, gained a prominent social and economic benefits. However, the railway traffic safety situation is not optimistic, emerged many security problems, more frequently encountered faults such as "wheelset bearing fault in the vehicle running", "braking and air-spring system failure", "bogie and central suspension device fault", "hunting instability motion of vehicle", "train especially freight car derailment", and so on. These faults bring hidden dangers and enormous economic loss to the safe operation of the train. The safety monitoring system for key components of the train provide technical support for the safe operation; the system can real-time monitor the working states of the key components such as train running gear system, basic braking system and vehicle electric application system; through real-time recording, analysis and diagnosis the states of the train's key components to concentrative display and give an alarm, find out the causes, and located fault to guide maintenance, meanwhile forecast the sates of all key components to prevent accidents. Therefore, this paper carried through following studies:(1)Established detect model for the safety monitoring system of trains' key components, set up layer upon layer's connection among detection equipment, car detection system, train detection system, segment detection system, bureau detection system and ministry detection system. Combined the traditional individual equipment detection method, created a comprehensive real-time monitoring system, realized the resources sharing, concentrative display, save, analysis and give an alarm to all of the monitoring device. Using classification management method divided the monitoring system into carriage monitoring subsystem, train monitoring subsystem and ground monitoring and professional analysis subsystem. Imposed modern communicate technology to link all levels' system, ensured the implementation and feasibility.(2) Study the theory and model of the running gear monitoring, based on vehicle-track coupling dynamics to make stress analysis and sporting state analysis for the running gear monitoring model. Using SIMPACK simulation system study vibration characteristics of the axle box, frame and car body, especially the vibration characteristics of high-speed. Extracted character parameters of the running gear fault, established a running gear fault identification model, using experimental data to filter the character parameters of all faults and optimize the discrimination rules.(3)Local wave method was used to make analysis and decoupling for running gear vibration signals. Research the application of local wave method in the running gear fault monitoring, particularly on the decomposition and time-frequency analysis to nonstationary random vibration signals, bring forward the use of local wave method in the professional analysis system for judgments, location, and early warning analysis for running gear fault.(4)Study the air brake principle on brake system, established a identification model for brake monitoring system, using experimental data to validate the train braking fault identification model. Contrapose the train electrical application system, studied the principle of train electrical testing device, focus on the device which easiness to cause running safety problems, such as the train power system, 48v insulation state, sliding plug door's working condition, temperature condition of the power line connector, as well as train axle temperature, and so on.(5)Establish a carriage level, train level and train-ground level communication network. Research LonWorks net and other communication networks' characteristics and structure, confirmed LonWorks as train level communication network, study LonWorks how to achieve solutions for the scheduling, direction, location and other issues; using RS-485 network to set up a communication system and communication protocol between slave computer and detection device; confirmed GPRS wireless communication network between the train level system and ground system, as well as the verification method for the data of the communication network in the entire system.(6)Through the ground and loading experiments to make verification for the detection device, carriage level system, train level system as well as the communication network, and disposed the train faults on the loading experiment.
