| Purpose: By collecting and organizing the general information and prescription medication data of Professor Li Xiaojuan’s treatment of diabetic lower extremity atherosclerotic disease and applying data mining software to analyze the basic prescriptions and drug compounding experience,the clinical medication pattern of the mentor’s treatment of this disease was unearthed so that the experience of the famous veteran TCM practitioner could be better passed on,while providing reference for clinical application.Material and method:Patients who attended the endocrine K ward of the Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Chinese Medicine from September 2019 to September2021 and were diagnosed with diabetic lower extremity atherosclerotic disease were collected and collated,and according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,the cases were entered into an Excel sheet according to a uniform format to establish the original database,and the basic information,medicine frequency,and nature and flavor ascriptions of the collected patients were counted by SPSS26.0 software was used to explore the core drug use,nature and taste,and new prescription analysis and other drug use patterns and experiences of the tutors in treating diabetic lower extremity atherosclerotic disease.Results:1.274 patients were admitted to this study,including 158 males and 116 females;the age distribution was 28-88 years,with a mean age of 61.40±12.05 years.2.In this study,274 prescriptions with a total frequency of 3971 times were used,and 165 Chinese herbs were obtained after normalizing the drug names.Among them,there were 5 flavors used more than 40% of the time,namely Angelica sinensis,Salvia miltiorrhiza,White Radix Paeoniae Alba,Radix Achyranthes bidentata,Radix Astragali,which were the core drugs used by Prof.Li Xiaojuan to treat this disease.The frequency of use was more than15% for 30 herbs,which are commonly used for the treatment of this disease.3.Professor Li Xiaojuan’s treatment of this disease was dominated by warm medicines,accounting for 40.07%,followed by cold and flat medicines;the taste of medicines was dominated by sweet medicines,accounting for 31.42%,followed by pungent and bitter medicines;liver meridian was the most common meridian,accounting for 23.82%.4.Professor Li Xiaojuan used the most deficiency tonics in the treatment of this disease,accounting for 25.43%.The next most popular remedy was blood-stasis activators,accounting for 20.90%.Among the deficiency tonics,Qi tonics and blood tonics were the main ones,while blood activators and stasis relievers were mainly blood activators and menstruation regulators.Warming drugs,pacifying the liver and calming the wind,relieving symptoms,dispelling wind and dampness,and clearing heat were also more common,with frequencies of8.34%,8.13%,7.88%,6.95%,and 6.72%,in that order.The frequencies of the remaining 9 classifications of herbs used <5%.5.Cluster analysis statistics yielded six clusters and five clustered square groups,in which Pueraria lobata was less correlated with other drugs and was grouped separately.The first cluster: Boswellia,Myrrh,Radix et Rhizoma,Coix lacrymae;the second cluster: Safflower,Peach kernel,Red Radix Paeoniae Alba,Chuanxiong,Angelica;the third cluster: Medlar,Prince’s ginseng,Salvia;the fourth cluster: Scorpion,Centipede,Dilong,Chicken blood vine,Astragalus,Asparagus;the fifth cluster: Radix Achyranthes bidentata,Lu Lutong,Roasted licorice,Jujube,Ginger,Cornus officinalis,Cinnamon,Hosanna,Tongcao,White Radix Paeoniae Alba,Gui Zhi.Conclusion:1.The core drugs used by Prof.Li Xiaojuan in treating this disease are Angelica sinensis,Salvia miltiorrhiza,Radix Paeoniae Alba,Radix Achyranthes bidentatae and Radix Astragali;25 drugs,including Radix et Rhizoma Pseudoginseng,Rhizoma Safflower,Radix et Rhizoma Cinnamomi,Radix et Rhizoma Glycyrrhiza Uralensis,Rhizoma Peach Root and Rhizoma Chuanxiong are commonly used in treating this disease.2.The medicinal properties of the drugs prescribed by Prof.Li Xiaojuan are mostly warm,followed by cold and mild;the taste of the drugs is mainly sweet,followed by pungent and bitter;the liver meridian is the most common generalized meridian.3.Professor Li Xiaojuan used the most deficiency tonics and blood-stasis invigorating drugs in treating this disease.Among them,the deficiency tonics are mainly qi tonics and blood tonics,and the blood stasis activators are mainly blood regulating drugs.Warming drugs,pacifying the liver and calming the wind,relieving symptoms,dispelling wind-dampness and clearing heat are also more common.4.After clustering analysis finally five clustered formula groups were obtained,and the rules of their prescriptions were discussed,which were basically consistent with the etiology and pathogenesis of this disease treated by Professor Li Xiaojuan. |
