Clinical Study On The Treatment Of Phlegm-Heat Obstructing Lung Syndrome Of Community-Acquired Senile Pneumonia With Xuanfei Zhisou Prescription

Objective: By comparing the purely western medical treatment and Xuanfei Zhisou decoction combined with western medical therapy for the elder community-acquired pneumonia with syndrome of phlegm-heat obstructing lung to provide objective evidence for the ability to clinical efficacy and safety of traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of the elder community-acquired pneumonia.Methods:Seventy-two elderly CAP patients with phlegm-heat obstructing the lung syndrome were divided into control group and observation group by means of randomization,there were 36 patients in each group.The control group was treated with western medicine,the observation group was treated on the basis of the control group with tutor experience prescription-Xuanfei Zhisou prescription.After 7 days of treatment,observing changes of TCM syndrome efficacy,TCM syndrome changes,laboratory inflammatory indicators and chest imaging,before and after treatment.Finally,the efficacy of the two groups of patients was evaluated.Results:(1)TCM syndrome curative effect:The overall response rate of the observation group was 94.12%,and the overall response rate of the control group was 85.71%,the TCM syndrome effect of the observation group was better than that of the control group(P< 0.05).(2)TCM syndrome score: After treatment,the score of each syndrome was lower than that before treatment,both groups were effective.In addition to chest tightness and pain,comparison between the two groups after treatment,each syndromes,TCM syndrome score(cough,expectoration,fever,thirst,dry stool,abdominal distension) of observation group had the better reduction than the control group(P<0.05).And there was no significant difference in the improvement of chest tightness and pain between the two groups(P>0.05).(3)Markers of inflammation: After treatment,the two groups(WBC,NEUT%,hs-CRP and PCT)were lower than those before treatment,both of the groups were effective(P<0.05).After treatment,the treatment effect of WBC,NEUT%,hs-CRP in the observation group was better than those in the control group(P<0.05).The efficacy of PCT was similar between the two groups(P>0.05).(4)Chest imaging findings: The total effective rate of the control group was 85.71%,and overall response rate of the observation group was 91.18%.The absorption of pulmonary inflammation in the two groups was similar(P>0.05).Conclusions:It was a great help to combining Xuanfei-zhisou decoction and conventional western medicine for improving the situation of TCM syndromes,reducing the total score of TCM syndromes,reducing inflammatory markers and promoting the absorption of inflammation in the lungs.During the treatment,the treatment plan was no obvious adverse reactions occurred,and the safety was good.
