The Effect Of Liver Diversion And Enlightenment Acupuncture Method On The Liver-Depression Constitution Of Glaucoma

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of the treatment of the glaucoma liver-depression constitution by the liver diversion and enlightenment acupuncture method,and to explore the clinical therapeutic advantages of the acupuncture method,so as to provide basis for the clinical application of this acupuncture method.Methods:A total of 48 patients with primary glaucoma who met the inclusion criteria in the ophthalmology Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine from December 2021 to December 2022 were collected.There were 24 cases(48 eyes)in the experimental group and 24 cases(48 eyes)in the control group by random number table method.The experimental group was treated with liver diversion and enlightenment acupuncture method and the control group was treated with conventional acupuncture method.The constitution scores of liver-depression and the best corrected visual acuity(BCVA)of the experimental group were observed before treatment and 1,2 and 4 weeks after treatment.The constitution scores of liver-depression,BCVA,mean defect of visual field(MD),visual field index(VFI)and average thickness of retinal nerve fiber layer(RNFL)were compared between the two groups,and the efficacy was evaluated after the treatment.Data statistics and analysis were performed using the SPSS26.0 software.Results:1.The change of constitution scores of liver-depression and BCAVThe constitution scores of liver-depression of the two groups were compared,and the differences were statistically significant before treatment and after 1 week,2 weeks and 4 weeks(P<0.05).The BCVA of the two groups were compared before treatment and after 1 week,2 weeks and 4 weeks,only after 4 weeks of treatment had a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).After 4 weeks of treatment,the constitution scores of liver-depression and BCVA of the experimental group were significantly different from those of the control group(P<0.05).2.Comparison between two groupsAfter treatment,MD,VFI and the average thickness of RNFL in the two groups were significantly different from that before treatment(P<0.05).The difference between the two groups after treatment was statistically significant(P<0.05).It shows that the two groups were better after treatment than before treatment,and the experimental group was better than the control group.The effective rates of TCM syndromes in the two groups were 83.33%and 54.17%,respectively,which was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rates of the two groups were 81.25% and 56.25%,respectively,which was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.Safety: There was subcutaneous congestion in 1 case,without acupuncture syncope.Conclusion:1.Both acupuncture methods can effectively improve liver-depression constitution and the quality of life of patients with glaucoma,and the improvement of liver-depression constitution is earlier than the improvement of visual function.2.The effect of the liver diversion and enlightenment acupuncture method on improving the liver-depression constitution of glaucoma is better than that of conventional acupuncture method.3.The liver diversion and enlightenment acupuncture method can enhance BCAV,improve MD,increase VFI and the average thickness of RNFL,and it is better than conventional acupuncture method.4.Both acupuncture methods have good safety.
