| Objective:To compare the clinical efficacy of digital complete denture and traditional complete denture in the same edentulous jaw.Methods:Ten edentulous patients who met the criteria were selected,each patient made two complete dentures by traditional method and digital method.Double blind method was used to wear denture randomly,after one week and one month,the clinical efficacy of the first denture was measured and recorded.After one month,the second denture was replaced,and the above steps were repeated.The content of measurement was:record the total number of denture tenderness points,measure the chewing efficiency and the retention force of mandibular denture,fill in the satisfaction questionnaire of complete denture(appearance,pronunciation,comfort,retention,chewing function,overall evaluation).Through the self-control method to compare its clinical efficacy,the data were statistically analyzed.Results:1.The total number of tenderness points in one month:the total number of tenderness points of digital complete denture was significantly less than that of traditional complete denture,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001);2.Chewing efficiency:after 1 week and 1 month,the chewing efficiency of digital complete denture was higher than that of traditional complete denture,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001);3.The retention force of mandibular denture:after 1 week and 1 month,the retention force of mandibular denture in digital group was higher than that of traditional group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001);4.Satisfaction evaluation of complete denture:after 1 week and 1 month,the scores of comfort,retention,chewing ability and total body evaluation of digital complete denture were higher than those of traditional complete denture,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05)There was no significant difference in denture appearance and pronunciation(P>0.05).Conclusions:For edentulous patients with moderate or severe alveolar bone height or width absorption,each patient made two complete dentures by traditional method and digital method,in a short time after complete denture:1.Compared with traditional complete denture,digital complete denture can reduce the number of tenderness points;2.Compared with traditional complete denture,digital complete denture can improve the chewing efficiency of patients;3.Mandibular retention of digital complete denture is greater than that of traditional complete denture;4.Compared with traditional complete denture,digital complete denture has more advantages in improving the comfort,retention,chewing ability and overall evaluation of patients when wearing denture,and there is no significant difference in appearance and pronunciation between digital complete denture and traditional complete denture. |
