Case Report Of Complete Denture Repair In Edentulous Patients

Objective: when implants can not be implanted because of alveolar ridge conditions are not suitable and less money,conventional complete denture is used to restore the edentulous patient’s chewing, pronunciation, and beautiful features.Methods: there are 5 cases of complete denture repair, including two cases of low-flat alveolar ridge and one case of soft alveolar. Use the aluminum edentulous tray of appropriate size to made early impressions with red proofing cream and alginate material. Perfusion cast, painted separating agent and made individual trays by photosensitive materials. Polishing the individual trays after curing enough light.Made final impressions by polyether, perfusion the final model by super-hard gypsum anhydrite perfusion cast. Mark points at the end of nose and chin of patients. The vertical distance was got by the distance of rest jaw position and freeway space.Horizontal relationship was got by check bite. Transfer the relationship between upper jaw and the joint of temporal by face bow. Made the case on the Jaw frame, setting up denture teeth, try the wax-up denture, wear the teeth.Results: 5 cases of complete denture treatment achieved a satisfactory therapeutic effect from the patients. 5 patients were pain after worn the teeth immediately, the pain reduced significantly after grinding within three times. In the 5 cases, 4 cases usinganatomical teeth and one case using lingualized occlusion. Chewing function of the patients was all recovery. 5 patients get better facial appearance. 5 patients pronounced normal after one week.
