Clinical Investigation And Analysis Of Therapeutic Effect Of Feline Infectious Peritonitis

Feline Infectious Peritonitis(FIP)is a progressive,high-fatal(100%)systemic disease caused by feline coronavirus.Cat coronavirus(Feline coronavirus)is the pathogen FCoV,a subspecies of α coronavirus-1.Although FIP has a high mortality rate,but there is still no effective vaccine,and there are relatively few complete epidemiological data in China.The subjects of this study were 280 naturally occurring FIP cases admitted to a pet hospital in Beijing from January 2018 to June 2020.The age,breed,clinical symptoms and curative rate of 280 FIP cases were analyzed by hematology examination,pleural and ascites examination,B-ultrasound examination,x-ray examination,coronavirus gene mutation detection and histopathology methods.Research results showed that,the morbidity rate was 80% and 55% in cats younger than 2 years and breed cats,cases with fever symptoms were 55%,2% cases had the ocular symptoms such as uveitis and posterior corneal deposit.The ratio of albumin and globulin is less than 0.4 in blood or chest and ascites of all cases,hematocrit and acute phase reaction protein of 71% cases were abnormally increased;The rate of FCoV positive was64% in pleural and ascites test,the mutation rate was 49% in S protein and 3C site of pleural and ascites,the ratio of ultrasound renal medullary margin was 44%,and the proportion of lymphadenopathy was 39%.The results of treatment of 280 cases of FIP showed that the cure rates of medicine I,medicine II and medicine III were 91.2%,72.6%and 54.37% respectively.In a word,the incidence of FIP is related to breed,age and sex of cats,and male cats of younger age are more susceptible;the site of high incidence of FIP is abdominal cavity,which can be diagnosed more accurately by histopathological methods,and the proportion of S protein or 3C site mutation of ascites coronavirus is higher;in contrast,the cure rate of drug I is the best.The conclusions of this study are valuable for understanding the clinical characteristics of FIP and its clinical diagnosis and treatment.
