Clinical Investigation And Treatment Effect Analysis Of Feline Infectious Peritonitis In Zhengzhou

With the development of the economy,the number of companion animals has gradually increased.As an important member of the companion animals,the pet cat industry has developed rapidly.However,the increasing number of pet diseases has become a clinical pain point.Feline infectious peritonitis(FIP)previously had an extremely high mortality rate of nearly 100%,and no effective treatment was available.In recent years,with more basic research and discussion on viral diseases,new drugs have emerged,bringing hope for a cure to cats suffering from infectious peritonitis.At present,there is no standard diagnosis and treatment process,and there are relatively few complete epidemiological data on FIP in China.Analysis of FIP clinical survey data can provide a basis for exploring the best diagnosis and treatment process.Collect 50 naturally occurring FIP cases in the pet hospital,and record the clinical investigation data such as age,sex,breed,cause of disease,clinical symptoms,laboratory examination,imaging examination,drug treatment plan and disease outcome;from the clinical symptoms of the disease,diagnosis,treatment and prevention of case analysis and summary.In the clinical diagnosis,the following conditions occurred: ascites,anorexia and mental depression;the hemoglobin and hematocrit indexes of blood routine examination decreased;the white blood cell ratio of biochemical examination was less than 0.6,the total bilirubin index increased and the blood urea nitrogen index decreased;serum Amyloid A > 10;B-ultrasound,X-ray and other imaging examinations found ascites,lymphadenopathy,abdominal mass and renal medullary lesions,a preliminary diagnosis can be established,and the virus isolation and identification(RT-PCR)method can be used to confirm the diagnosis.The results of the study showed that in Zhengzhou,the incidence of FIP in juvenile cats was about twice as high as that in adult cats(33/17);British shorthair cats and Chinese garden cats accounted for 28% of the cases(14/50),respectively.),24%(12/50);the incidence of FIP is higher in male cats,which is 3.17 times that of female cats(38/12);stress factors or the main cause of FIP;Sex,wetness)had the highest proportion of ascites,22%(11/50);followed by anorexia and depression,both 20%(10/50).The treatment effect of Kangfuqing and other drugs is remarkable,and the cure rate is improved.The treatment results of 50 FIP cases show that the cure rate is 72%,the fatality rate is 16%,and the recurrence rate is 6%.According to the analysis of typical cases,the best diagnosis and treatment plan for FIP is summarized.The diagnosis of wet infectious peritonitis can easily be made based on ascites and laboratory tests.Dry infectious peritonitis has no body cavity exudate and cannot be diagnosed by clinical examination alone.RT-PCR method is needed to confirm the diagnosis.In the treatment of feline infectious peritonitis,antiviral drugs such as Kangfuqing combined with the adjuvant treatment of other drugs are indeed effective in clinical trials,which can greatly improve the cure rate of FIP.
