| Feline infectious peritonitis virus(FIPV)is a biological type of feline coronavirus(FCo V)that mainly causes feline infectious peritonitis(FIP)in cats, which is a serious fatal disease in cats.Since the discovery of FIPV in the 60 s of the last century, the disease has caused great harm to the health of cats, and there is no effective vaccine and specific treatment so far.In this study, the ascites and swab samples of suspected FIP cases collected in animal hospitals were detected by real-time RT-PCR,and some S gene and N gene were amplified and sequenced by RT-PCR of some FIPV-positive samples for genetic evolutionary analysis. In this study,125 FIPV-positive samples were detected by fluorescent RT-PCR in 149 ascites samples of suspected FIP cases collected in several pet hospitals in Qingdao between 2021 and 2022.The correlation between FIP and season, age, sex, breed and other factors was reviewed, and the Chi-square test results of the four factors showed that the incidence of FIP was not related to the season, sex and breed of cats(P > 0.05),and the incidence of FIP had a significant relationship with the age of cats(P<0.01).11 FIPV-positive samples collected in Qingdao from 2021 to 2022 were sequenced by RT-PCR amplification and sequencing of S2 gene and N gene, and the genetic evolution analysis of the sequencing results showed that the FCo V biotype of11 positive samples belonged to FIPV biotype rather than FECV biotype. The serotyping is type II FCo V.11 positive samples were closely related to each other, and compared with the reference strains,it was found that they were closely related to American isolates and distant from Chinese isolates. It shows that the FIPV strain epidemic in Qingdao from 2021 to 2022 may be caused by the import of foreign strains, due to the increase in the frequency of international trade, foreign pets continue to be imported into the domestic market, which brings potential risks to the healthy development of China’s pet industry, animal health and the prevention of animal diseases. |
