Incidence Survey Of Feline Infectious Peritonitis And The Study Of Theatrical Effect

Feline infectious peritonitis(FIP)is a chronic fatal disease caused by the feline coronavirus(FCo V).Diagnosis of FIP is extremely difficult because there are no specific symptoms and confirmed laboratory analysis.Most of the affected cats have recurrent fevers,littles appetite,eye inflammation,and diarrheas.The major clinical sign of wet FIP is pleural effusion/ascites,while the major clinical sigh of dry FIP is Vasculitis and nervous system problems.The diagnosis of FIP is challenging and requires a comprehensive evaluation of the origin of cat,symptoms,body examination,regular blood analysis,imaging tests such as chest and abdomen B-ultrasound,Fluid testing such as pleural fluid,abdominal fluid,Rivalta test,RT-PCR testing and histopathological examination.Among them,histopathology serves as the "benchmark" for FIP diagnosis.In order to further understand the clinical characteristics of FIP and provide support for comprehensive diagnosis,the complete case information of 42 naturally occurring cat FIP in 3 animal hospitals in Fujian Province since 2018 was collected,including age,sex,breed,source,and breeding environment.Information and clinical symptoms,laboratory and imaging examination The results were as follows: youth of the cats,97.62%;male cats,71.42%;entire female or entire male,64.28%;multi-cat households,71.43%indicating high incidences of FIP;when the cat had fever,66.67%;pleural effusion/ascites,71.43%;the A / G ratio of blood or pleural effusion /ascites<0.6,80.96%;hyperbilirubinemia,85.71%or SAA>50,40.47%.These signals were of value in diagnosing FIP.There are also some cats with nervous system problems,28.57% such as ataxia,r e f l e x i o n,f o r e l i m b s t i f f n e s s,h i n d l i m b f l e x i o n,e t c.The eight cats with naturally occurring feline infectious peritonitis were randomly divided into 4 groups,each with 2 test cats.Group A received conventional treatment,Group B received conventional treatment and GC376 which is the 3C-like protease inhibitor in treating,Group C received conventional treatment and GS-441524 which is the nucleoside analogue in disease treating.On the basis of conventional treatment,Group D was additionally treated with GC376 and GS-441524 together.The results were as follows:conventional antibiotic therapy has not effect to the course of the disease.if the cat with naturally occurring feline infectious peritonitis,GS-441524 has better therapeutic effects than GC376;GC376 and GS-441524 are used in combination,the drug takes effect quickly and the treatment course is shortened.
