Objective: The purpose of this study is to describe the status of postgraduates for master's degree of clinical medicine in H hospital and their cognition of the training mode in the policy context of “Medical-Teaching Collaboration”,to analyze the problems and causes,and to put forward the suggestions on the optimization of the training program.Methods: Collecting the basic information of the postgraduates with major degree training in H hospital,adopting questionnaire to investigate the H hospital's postgraduate students and mentors of major degree.The investigation content includes medical ethics,policies and regulations,professional theoretical knowledge,interpersonal communication,clinical practice skills,clinical research capabilities,clinical teaching ability,the status of foreign language ability and cultivate awareness.To collect innovative opinions on cultivating of medical postgraduates,one-to-one structured interview method is used to conduct depth interview with mentors,students and managers.Results: The advantages of the Medical-Teaching Collaboration mode are obvious.There are 72.3% of the students and 72.6% of the mentors satisfied with the medical-education synergy model.The postgraduate with major degree training in H hospital has made continuous progress.There are still 35.2% postgraduates and 32.2% mentors feel not completely satisfied with the overall situation.Problems like the unreasonable rewards,unclear assessment goals,untargeted assessment methods make the assessment of the training process a mere scrap of paper.31.8% of the masters can be competent in minor departments where they have interned,while 53.0% of the masters is not competent in work night shifts during the clinical work of this subject,which shows that the opportunities for clinical practice are insufficient,the assessment of clinical skills is not standardized.As for most mentors,they believe their students' ability of paper writing,literature reading and literature retrieval still needs to be improved.61.4% students haven't published papers,which indicate their scientific research ability training is not valued.The mentor's evaluation for their students' English ability is not good,English speaking,reading and writing skills need to be improved.English self-learning ability needs more attention,and language learning atmosphere is not warm enough.However,after three years of training in H hospital,professional ethics such as medical ethics and morals have been significantly improved.88.3% students said they didn't undertake theoretical teaching for undergraduates,and 47.7% students participated in the training of teaching systems,specifications and teaching skills,therefore,their clinical teaching ability is obviously insufficient.57.6% students mentioned the difficulties in communicating with patients.42.4% students lack confidence,their instructors owe it to insufficient communication experience and lack of communication skills training.64.6% instructors believe that students' knowledge of health laws is inadequate,only 42.4% students studied relative knowledge by themselves.The theoretical courses for postgraduate with major degree are mainly decentralized teaching and off-site centralized teaching,the teaching methods of the theoretical courses are lagging behind,the curriculum settings fail to meet the training objectives of the specialized masters,and the curriculum content overlaps,which result in lacking learning enthusiasm and inadequate theoretical knowledge.Conclusion: The infrastructure of the H hospital is complete,the faculty are strong and the system is mature.The connection between the postgraduate with major degree and resident training is seamless,and the Medical-Teaching Collaborative training has achieved initial results.However,the overall quality of the postgraduate with major degree training still needs to be improved.In the process of cultivating postgraduate with major degree,there are still problems such as unreasonable reward,incomplete assistance systems,neglection of training other than clinical abilities,and poor self-learning consciousness.Therefore,the investment should be increased,a sound incentive mechanism as well as evaluation system should be optimized and the management of the evaluation process for training postgraduate with major degree should be improved.Also we should attach importance to the cultivation of other abilities and enhance the ability of independent learning,guarantee the quality of skills training,rationalize the relationship between clinical practice and research to provide favorable guarantees for better improving the quality of personnel training.
