Objective The rapid development of cardiac intervention in China leads to stricter requirements to nurses specialized in cardiac intervention. To meet the requirements, this study aimed to,leveraging the Delphi method, construct one core competence evaluation index system which was expected to become objective criteria for appointing, assessing, training and evaluating these nurses.Furthermore, this system might help to assess the management of nurse resource in hospitals and promote systemic vocational education to foster qualified nurses specialized in cardiac intervention.Method The framework of core competence evaluation index system of nurses specialized in cardiac intervention was built through literature review, interview and discussion with experts and 17 experts were consulted by Delphi survey based on“Sojump & We Chat”.The statistical analysis was performed to assess the positive coefficients, authoritative coefficients and coordination coefficients of expert advice.Subsequently, the analytic hierarchy process(AHP)was applied to define the weights of the core competences which would formed the index system for evaluating nurses specialized in cardiac intervention. Results 1.All the questionnaires were completed in two rounds of survey, which implied that “Sojump & We Chat” might enhance experts' positivity and facilitate them to complete questionnaires effectively.2.In terms of the experts' authority in this study, the determination factor ranged from 0.700 to 0.900,familiarity level from 0.720 to 1.000,and authoritative coefficients from 0.710 to 0.950.3.The coordination coefficients were 0.334,0.322,and 0.285 respectively for the level-1,level-2,and level-3 of the indicators.Analyzed with a nonparametric test for K-related sample, the p-values were all lower than 0.05.4.A total of 5 level-1 dimensions,18 level-2 dimensions and 64 level-3 indicators formed the core competence evaluation index system for nurses specialized in cardiac intervention. The level-1 dimensions included professional ethics, management ability, vocational capacity, communication and coordination ability and sustainable development. The level-2 dimensions included occupational discipline, devotion, decision making, organizing and coordinating, stability of management, clinical knowledge, clinical practice, emergency responding,hospital-acquired infection controlling,English, information processing, communication skills, coordination and cooperation ability, psychosocial quality, physical fitness, educating and coaching, researching and learning.5.Based on the AHP,the weights for the 5 level-1 dimensions were 0.417,0.062,0.263,0.160,and 0.098.The combined weight for the level-2 dimensions was 0.008 to 0.278 and that for the level-3 indicators was 0.001 to 0.111.The consistency index(CI)for the judgment matrices ranged from 0.000 to 0.046,while the consistency ratio(CR)ranged from 0.000 to 0.045.Conclusion This study demonstrated “Sojump & We Chat”might enhance experts' positivity and improve collection of questionnaires. Both the authority level and coordination degree were high. Therefore, the core competence evaluation index system for nurses specialized in cardiac intervention formed in this study was expected to become objective criteria for appointing, assessing, training and evaluating nurses in cardiac intervention departments.Meanwhile, this system might help to assess the management of nurse resource in hospitals and develop curriculum for specialized nurses in nursing schools.
