The Establishment Of The Core Competence Evaluation Scale For Intervention Specialized Nurses

Objective:(1)To set up the evaluation scale of the core competence for intervention nurses.(2)To test the reliability and validity of the core competence evaluation scale.Methods:(1)This paper used the role theory and core competence theory as the theoretical guidance for the development of the scale.Through using the expert consultation,literature review,theoretical analysis and preliminary experiments,it formed 6 dimensions,57 items involved in the evaluation of the core competence of nurses in pilot scale,which based on the previous research.This scale was tested among 590 nurses who engage in interventional nursing related departments in 4three level of first-class hospital in Changsha of Hunan province.(2)In this study,the Krone Bach coefficient(Cronbach's Alpha),KMO(KaiserMeyer-Olkin)test and Bartlett Sphericity test were used to test the reliability and validity of the pre-test scale,and to test whether it is appropriate.(3)Exploratory factor analysis was used to construct and validate the questionnaire.(4)The reliability and validity of the formal scale were tested by Krone Bach coefficient,split half reliability and test-retest reliability.The validity of the test was examined by content validity,construct validity,criterion related validity and discriminated validity.Result:(1)The Cronbach's coefficient of pretest scale was 0.945,theKMO value was 0.955,which was greater than the standard of measurement 0.9.And the chi-square value of sphericity test was17928.167(df = 287,P = 0.000 < 0.05),which had the statistical significance and was fit for analyzing.(2)Exploratory factor analysis removed 7 entries,to get the formal scale for evaluating the core competence of intervention intervention specialized nurses.(3)Formal scale reliability test:Krone Bach coefficient: the Cronbach's alpha value of the total scale of this study was 0.913 and the internal consistency reliability Cronbach's alpha value of six factors was 0.659 to 0.931.Split half reliability: the split half reliability of the total scale was 0.792,and the split half reliability of each factor was 0.600 to 0.792.Test-retest reliability: the test-retest reliability of the total scale was 0.837,and the test-retest reliability of the factors was 0.763 to 0.935.(4)Validity analysis of formal scale:Content validity: Based on previous research,a large number of readings in literature and expert consultation method and so on to Formed Initial scale,the author took a small sample test of the initial scale before the formal test.Structure validity: The exploratory factor analysis extracted 6 factors,which was consistent with the theory.6factors variance of the cumulative contribution rate was 70.200%.The confirmatory factor analysis and model fitting were acceptable.Correlation analysis between each factor and total scale correlation in the range from 0.588 to 0.914,the degree of correlation was 0.116 to 0.863.Criterion related validity: The correlation between the core competenceevaluation scale and the core competence scale of Chinese registered nurses was 0.523(P<0.05).Discriminate validity: The scale of this study could be divided into different age,nursing age,professional title and education level of nurses in the core competencies.Conclusion : The evaluation scale of the core competence for intervention specialized nurses in this study has good reliability and validity,this scale reached the application standard of Surveying,it could reflect the level of core competence for intervention specialized nurses,and be used as a tool to evaluate the core competence of intervention specialized nurses.
