The Researh On The Construction Of Information Literacy Evaluation Index System For Nurse

Objective: With the rapid development of the information society,information literacy has become one of the basic qualities of citizens.Essential possession of information literacy is the prerequisite and precondition to nurses' lifelong learning which restricts the quality of clinical nursing and development of nursing professional directly.The research is aiming at improving nurse group's information literacy through construction of proper systems and establishment of standards for evaluation indexes of nurses' information literacy.Methods: The research arranged and comparatively analyzed the existing evaluation indexes of nurses' information literacy by literature retrieval,interview,questionnaire,Delphi's consults and some other methods.We build the preliminary evaluation indexes of nurses' information literacy after clarifying the basic principle,framework,and associated questions.Finally,our advanced evaluation indexes of nurses' information literacy were generated based on the amendment via the method of interview and Delphi's consults.Further more,we designed nurses' information literacy questionnaire based on the established evaluation index system of information literacy by which nurses with different backgrounds were randomly surveyed in various regions of Suzhou.Results: First,our advanced evaluation system of nurses' information literacy were generated including 4 level one indexes,8 level two indexes,and 45 level three indexes.These different levels have inclusion relations which lower levels show reification of corresponding higher levels.Then,this advanced evaluation system show good scientificity and practicability since it evaluated current nurses' information literacy accurately.Third,we can make conclusion that nurses exhibit satisfactory literacy in security and ethics but not in sensitivity,acquirement,filter,and utilization to information and creation,especially.Conclusion: Our advanced evaluation system of nurses' information literacy revealed scientific,effective and practical character after its construction and application.
