ObjectiveThis study intend to construct a post competency evaluation model of anesthesia nurse,which can be used for the description,analysis and evaluation of anesthesia nurses competency level,to design the anesthesia nurse post competency appraisal scale and test reliability and validity of the scale.And our study intend to construct a SEM of anesthesia nurse.Methods1.Literature analysis was conducted to collect the anesthesia nurse competency and related literature through searched,read and collated domestic and foreign psychology,statistics and management science literatures to provide theoretical basis and practical method for this study.2.12 anesthesia nurses were interviewed by behavioral event interviews.They were asked 3 key events during the work,including the successful events and unsuccessful events or negative events,and asked respondents to depict the whole events and the idea when things happen.The basic framework of the evaluation index system of post competency for anesthesia nurses was developed.3.Indexes were determined by adopting Delphi method to counsel 17 experts,and used the analytic hierarchy process(AHP)to get the weight of each index in the second round.Finally,the evaluation index system and the weights of each index were determined.4.A total of 222 anesthesia nurses by mail,e-mail and face-to-face answer were investigated with the anesthesia nurse post competency appraisal scale.The data were processed by SPSS 20.0 software to test reliability and validity of the evaluation scale,and analyzed the correlation between scale and primary indexs.5.A total of 214 anesthesia nurses by mail,e-mail and face-to-face answer were investigated with the anesthesia nurse post competency appraisal scale.The data were processed by SPSS 20.0 software and AMOS24.0 software to test validity of the evaluation scale and constructed the SEM of anesthesia nurse,finally validated the science of the evaluation index system and completed the empirical research.Results1.The basic framework of the evaluation index system of post competency for anesthesia nurse was built that includes 6 primary indexes(basic knowledge,perioperative period knowledge,operation skills,risk control,learning and development ability,individual characteristics)and 38 second indexes with the method of BEI.2.The evaluation index system of post competency for anesthesia nurses was established that includes 6 primary indexes(basic knowledge,perioperative period knowledge,operation skills,risk control,occupation development,individual characteristics)and 35 second indexes with the method of Delphi,and completed the quantitative of indexes,determined weight of every index.3.The evaluation index system was used to design the post competency evaluation scale of anesthesia nurses.Analysed item analysis,factor analysis,reliability and validity analysis and confirmatory factor analysis of this scale,finally validated the science of this evaluation index system and completed the empirical research.Conclusions1.The post competency evaluation scale of anesthesia nurses has good reliability and validity,can be used as a tool to evaluate the post competency of anesthesia nurses in china.2.Many methods were used to establish the evaluation index system of post competency for anesthesia nurse,this evaluation index system have good feasibility and scientificity.This study provides a practical evaluation model which has important meaning for clinical nursing practice.
