Several Low Flat Mandibular Alveolar Ridge To Improve Denture Retention Methods Of Clinical Experience

Objective: To investigate the use of several low-lying mandibular edentulous alveolar ridge of patients to improve the oral condition of the remaining half of the mandibular denture retention and stability.Materials and Methods: Clinical mandibular edentulous alveolar ridge low and flat absorption of 14 patients, based on the inherent conditions of the oral divided into four groups, A group 3 patients, the use of the mouth of the remaining residual roots (crown) to prepare a solid digital device, covering half of dentures; B group 4; old denture retention poor. Using self-curing silicone rubber Safreliner MS re-lining tissue surface of mandibular denture base: C 6 cases, the use of mandibular denture base extension of the tongue edge of flank and the joint use of flexible liners; D group 1 patients, the use of impacted tooth or jaw impacted teeth as a retention half-mouth mandibular abutment justice. By and between the three denture retention of traditional clinical outcomes compared.Results: 14 patients have been observed for three months to one and a half year in clinic, A and D group: the lower full-denture has no dislocation phenomena when speaking swallowing chewing and other movements .check: retention device on the abutment is no loose, gum is normal. X-ray shows: there is no significant gap a between the crown of the impacted tooth and the alveolar bone,bone structure is normal, denture retention is good. C group : patients feel is acceptable ,but there is discomfort when swallowing. B groups: there are exfoliation and pain phenomena when the patients laughing and big mouth. Check: there is a cer tain retention, but the lower full-denture have exfoliation phenomena when encounterring force.Conclusion: The low and flat mandibular alveolar ridge repair in patients with oral cavity of patients surviving as long as the full use of the conditions of stay (such as the mandibular teeth or impacted teeth), careful design, fix a reasonable choice, low mandibular alveolar ridge can also flat edentulous good repair retention effect.
