Background: The aging process of the C hinese trend has accelerated in recent years, so more and more oral problems of the elderly are exposed. Such as lack of natural teeth periodontal disease caused seriously affects people’s quality of life, more so in edentulous patients. A pair of good function of the complete denture is essential for edentulous patients. We can often see that after a sophisticated production process of complete denture in wear in patients with clinical function, the phenomenon that patients present with pain and refuse to continue using denture emergences. If the doctor can find tenderness points quickly, and accurate analysis of the reason of pain, then modified corresponding position appropriately, it will help the patients to relieve pain. There are many methods of clinical pinpoint tenderness point, but because every method has its own advantages and disadvantages, the doctor s hould understand it and apply flexibly. Purpose: To investigate the cause of the pain of complete denture wearing, common sites and seek suitable methods and solution to help patients to adapt as quickly as possible. Method: Selected 5 cases of complete denture repair cases from 2014 March to 2015 March in the Affiliated Stomatological Hospital of Dalian Medical University. By understanding the patients’ chief complaints and detailing examinations of the patients’ mouth mucosa,alveolar bone and so on. Afte r communicating with the patients and formulating reasonable repair plans, then completed dentures. According intraoral examinations, including the existence of tenderness, tenderness area, mucosal color change and so on. By the occlusal adjustment, buffer, grinding short base edges and other means to understand the patients pain relief and satisfaction. Result: In this paper, 4 cases of the patients felt the symptoms were relieved after wearing dentures again and expressed willingness to continue to wear dentures. The subjective satisfactions were further improved. Conclusion: In complete denture repair, the doctor must know the common sites of pain and also need determine the pain locations by different means of inspection. By properly adjusting to make the patients regain satisfaction and enhance the clinical confidence.
