Asymmetric information between doctors and patients is one of main reasons of medical disputes, effective doctor-patient knowledge transfer is a key factor in reducing cognitive gaps between doctors and patients, and improving doctor-patient relationship. As the development of technology internet has become an important media for doctor-patient knowledge transfer. This paper starts under the context of internet and studies how internet interaction affects transfer effects, and explains the key factors and function model to rich theories of doctor-patient communication on internet and improve the effect of doctor-patient communication, besides, help networkers to make better strategies. This research starts with review of literature. It summarizes the research about doctor-patient communication, knowledge transfer and internet interation, and defines the concept of doctor-patient knowledge transfer under the context of internet. Based on contextual factors of internet interaction, a research model of doctor-patient transfer based on internet contextual factors is formed. At first, a small-scale pre-investigation was carried out to adjust the theory model and questionire. At second, A formal large-scale questionnaire survethe was carried out, and the data collected is analyzed with SPSS18.0.According to empirical research, the paper draws several conclusions:anonymity, standardization, Synchronous interaction, Asynchronous interaction, contractual, complexity, and expressiveness can well explain doctor-patient knowledge transfer effect. Anonymity can well explain the patients’compliance to the doctors’advice. The degree of interaction mediates between the influencing factors and transfer effects. Patients with different characteristics act differently on patient satisfaction, patients’ compliance to the doctors’advice and the degree of interaction. These outcomes can guide the networkders, doctors and patients how to improve their acts in the on-line doctor-patient communication. At last, this research comes up with conclusions, limitation and the future prospect.
