Objective: To analyze junior middle school students’ needs on the training of cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the expectation of the training ways so as to offer basis for designing educational games about cardiopulmonan’ resuscitation and making the training programs for junior middle school students. According to the evaluation on the training results, the effects of different training programs are to be explored: the training methods based on educational games are to be researched for their effects on the junior middle school students’ interests in studying cardiopulmonary resuscitation in order to provide reference for finding a suitable method on this kind of training.Methods:1. an investigation on the present situation: in September.2011. a questionnaire investigation was conducted on357students of Grade7of No.9Middle School chosen according to the convenient sampling method in order to know middle students’ present situation on the knowledge, attitude, and practice on cardiopuimonary resuscitation.2. the comparison of training programs:295students who had never taken any courses on cardiopulmonan’ resuscitation were divided randomly into A and B groups in accordance to their odd or even school pin numbers. Group A were taught by way of watching the teaching film of the3D animated version on the operation of cardiopulmonary resuscitationâ†'doing the games of cardiopulmonary resuscitationâ†'practical operationâ†'test randomly; While Group B was taught by the way of watching the teaching film of the3D animated version on the operation of cardiopuimonary resuscitationâ†'the teacher’s PPT presentation and demonstration operationâ†'practical operationâ†'nest randomly. After the training, the evaluation forms about cardiopulmonary resuscitation were given to the students to explore the training effects to investigate the training results. This was done to find out the better training program. The above data was built into the computer with the software Excel2003and analyzed by the statistic software SPSS17.0.Results:1. status investigation: generally situation of351students were similar to each other according to statistcs. There was no statistic difference (P>0.05):303out of351 students(86.3%) didn’t accept the cardiopulmonary resuscitation training before. Knowledge:91.7%of the students knew the emergency call and13.7of them knew the part of chest compression. Attitude:35.3%of the students chosed "knowing nothing about chest compression" on the Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Self Evaluation questionnaire:2.8%chosed "fully grasping";59.5%thought it necessary or very necessary to have cardiopulmonary resuscitation training. The most chosen way to be trained was educational games plus simulated operation. Practice:61.5%chosed to dial the emergency call when someone failed on the ground suddenly: as for the comparison on the ways of acquiring the relative knowledge about cardiopulmonary resuscitation for different gendered students, there were statistic differences from choosing TV. radio. internet, teachers, parents and classmates, respectively (P<0.05).2. the comparison on the training programs: there was no statistic significance in the difference between the genders of Group A and Group B (P>0.05); for the correct rates on the questions of compression’ s depth, the sequence of CPR, amount of artificial respiration. group A was higher than group B. which had the statistic significance (P<0.05): Skills assessment: the correct rates of group A were higher than those of group B in the steps of chest compression positioning, chest compressing rate. complete chest recoiling, the control of the time of artificial respiration. C-A-B cycling and so on. The differences had the statistic significance,(P<0.05).Conclusion:1. The penetration rate of cardiopulmonary resuscitation among the junior middle school is to be improved:2.Junior middle school students has the needs to be trained;3. Junior middle school students are interested in the training of cardiopulmonary resuscitation through the way of educational games;4. The training program based on games can improve Junior middle school students" knowledge and skills on cardiopulmonary resuscitation effectively and can be promoted.
