| Vascular Dementia is something connected with vascular factor. The first thing is that the patient must be oafish. Dementia is a synthesis that the cerebral function absolutely the brain function slowing down widely. And this decay must be to a certain degree. It's often about all symptoms included with memory impairment, cognitive impairment, mood and action decay, and it can last for months or years. The vascular factor is mainly about the vascular in the brain, departed with two systems: the Jing artery system and the Zhui-jidi artery system. It can about the change of these vascular , and also can about the other vascular such as the large vascular out of the brain and the illness of the heart. The result is the change of the losing of the blood and the losing of the oxygen. That makes the brain function decay widely. VD is named Laonian Daibing in the traditional Chinese medicine. The patient often be fool and oafish, can not have a normal life, and can't communicate with others. Some people have poor memory, say little words and react slowly. More serious, the patient will talk to himself all the day or not say one word all the day. He cries or laughs unsuitablely. He has little food for several days and doesn't have the feeling of hungry. VD happens in the senility or before the senility, comes along slowly and affects the advanced function of the brain. There isn't any effective drug to cure or prevent VD. The most important thing we can do is to care the patient in the clinic work. It's very important to find good ways to diagnose and cure the illness. Chinese medicine has many theories and much clinic experience in it, but still has many questions, such as there isn't a recognized standard of the diagnostics and the value of the therapy. In order to find a good way to diagnose and cure VD, observe the relationship between the degree of the dementia and the symptoms of Chinese medicine, make sure the function of P300 in diagnosing VD, and value the effect of Yishenyangnao Capsule, we do this clinic research. The research can be divided into three parts. The first part is the analysis of the syndrome and the symptom of the Live-Kidney deficiency & Suihai deficiency. We find that all of the symptoms, memory impairment, waist and legs pain, mai-chen, language retard, hair and teeth shortage, tired and liking lying up, mai-xi, she-dan, tai-bai, acting unagility, walking difficultly, tai-bao, ringing in the tinnitus, deafing, legs numbness, whirling, she-hong has a high frequency. After curing, the scores of MMSE of the patients are improved, and the symptoms are also changed. Waist and legs pain, tired and liking lying up, ringing inthe tinnitus and deafing, legs numbness, whirling, insomnia, having much phlegm, sweating when sleep, hot in the palm, inflation of the stomach, red face, thinly stool are improved mostly. The second part is about the research of P300 inspection. We want to know how sensitive can P300 inspection has and want to know the relationship between P300 inspection and the score of MMSE. We find that there are 7 patients have abnormity P300 value in the total 29 patients. And 4 of them are gentle VD patients, 3 of them are modest VD patients. We also find that there isn't any beeline relationship between P300 inspection and the score of MMSE. The third part is the research of the clinic curative effect. We use Yishenyangnao capsule to cure the patients and using 3 months. Writing down the scores of MMSE, ADL, we observe the change of the scores, and find that after curing, the scores of MMSE and ADL are improved. It's proved that the curation is effective. We also find that the effect of curing gentle VD is better than modest VD patient. So we can conclude that we must cure VD in the first stage. Curing VD earlier, the effect of curation is better. |
