HDCP is the full name of the High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection. The technology is the content of Hollywood and the Intel Corporation to develop, used in a variety of digital video devices, such as the computer's video card, DVD players, monitors, televisions, projectors etc. Compared to the conventional encryption technology, HDCP content protection mechanism takes a completely different way, and achieved great results. Based on the application of HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) in HDCP protection mechanism, this paper introduc a protection mechanism of HDCP technology, the related video technology, a detailed analysis of the two HDCP devices Communication between each other, as well as the certification process. According to the agreement and HDCP requirements, to achieve the HDCP protection technology, the random number generator module features a variety of requirements.In fact, HDCP technology is an independent application in a variety of digital video equipment in the HDMI system. This paper describes the HDCP protocol, and provides a more detailed reference and description of the adoption of HDCP encryption machine design for related engineers and technicians.This paper also gives HDCP Cipher which used as the random number generation structure in HDCP system ,and privodes the design work experience reference of HDCP encryption. Therefore, this paper is of great the oretical and practical significance.
