The new high-definition digital video and audio interface technology standard--HDMI(High Definition Multimedia Interface),was published in December 9,2002.Because of its great advantages in compatibility,clarity,area and other aspects compared with the traditional interface,it has been widely used in TV,monitor,projector and so on.In order to ensure the security of high definition audio and video transmission in the HDMI interface is secure,the new protection technology-HDCP,appeared in 2003.The application requirements promotes the development of the related chips and IP.Based on the HDCP 2.2 protocol,this paper achieves the design and implement of HDCP transmitter in HDMI.At first,in the paper,the HDMI interface principle and the HDCP 2.2 protocol are researched.The HDMI interface principle is analyzed from the aspects of HDMI structure,signal and coding principle.And the HDCP 2.2 protocol is analyzed from three aspects of authentication,encryption and update mechanism.Secondly,in the paper,the HDCP TX IP is designed.The block diagram of HDCP TX is designed in accordance with the requirements of the protocol.According to the overall block diagram,every module is analyzed and designed in order.The related RSA,AES-128,SHA-256,HMAC and other basic algorithms are studied and designed in detail.Then the TX is divided into authentication and encryption,and these two parts are researched and designed from state machine system and control module aspects.Thirdly,in this paper,the simulation verification of the HDCP TX is accomplished.Based on the passed simulation results of every module,the simulation platform for TX is completed,according to test erratum information from DCP LLC.It is verified that the TX can realize to communicate with the RX,realize these authentication function,including exchange the master key,checking position,exchange session key through DDC channel,and realize to encrypt sound and video data by encryption system.The TX achieves the standard requirements of front-end design.Finally,in the SMIC65nm process,the HDCP TX IP is physically implemented.Through the logic synthesis,data preparation,placement,clock tree synthesis,routing and other processes,in 27-300 MHz TMDS clock frequency,we get HDCP TX IP with 13.905mW power consumption,and 1941563?m ~2.As the key technology of HDMI,HDCP can protect the audio and video content of HDMI interface through authentication and encryption,so it has great importance.Especially in HDCP 2.2,the renewable mechanism is an important protective barrier.The HDCP TX IP of this paper is important in research and application of HDMI and HDCP in domestic.
