In this thesis, the author selects 67 Nobel economics laureates from 1969 to 2010 and their 111 representative publications as the subjects. At frist, with methods in Bibliometrics to analyze the winners'total articles and citation based on WoS database so as to find out their characters in academic research. And then, quantitative analysis in content based on the winners'representative publications is applied in order to reveal their fields and menthods of innovations.The research innovations in this thesis can be summarized as follows:First, the empirical study on Bibliometric indicators of Nobel economics laureates can make up the limitation in previous studies.Second, the fields where the winners achieve their innovations and the methods how they get success have been concluded.On the basis of the above analysis, discoveries have been made that:First, the United States and Britain as the representative of the Western countries have centralized the academic resources in economics.Sencond, Bibliometric indicators including papers, citations and h-index, exist in limitiation to evaluate the academic merit of Nobel economics laureates.Last, the winners of Nobel economics have achieved innovations in wide domains in economics with different methods.
