As a new digital products, the digital photo frames have been applied more and more because that they have the a lot of advantages such as rich display function, graphics clear, simple operation, convenient to carry and so on. Now,the most digital photo frames'core embedded systemon is ARM,the display screen is LCD on the market. This acticle adopt Organic Lighting Emitting Device which have more superior performance as screen. Discusses the based on FPGA digital photo frame of the embedded system software and hardware design method.This article based on building SOPC system for the core with FPGA.The SOPC design has the characteristics such as flexibility,functionality can be tarilored,both of hardware and software could be programmability and good integration features,this article create a digital photo frame of the SOPC platform,FPGA control OLED,the picture information is storaged in the SD card prior, embedded NiosII soft processors that control the SD card's read or write. This paper is focused on the design of OLED display control module and NiosII software development.First, established the SOPC system, control SD card read for operation, picture information analysis and sent out RGB data,then establish OLED display control module,complete the work of receiving data and control OLED display. Last, in Nios II IDE environment,realize read the data in SD card and visit SDRAM memory and so on.Finally, complete the functions of showing the pictures in the OLED display screen.Paper start at the development status and research status of OLED, expounds principle of work and driving method of OLED display device, and introduces the design process of modules in the whole system detailed. The system took Cyclone EP2C35F672C6 which is the production of Altera as a core,the function of the realization can be divided into two parts in this chip:SOPC system and control OLED display. Embedded NiosII soft processors in SOPC Builder, adding the IP core that needed. To construct the SD card control SOPC system, such design increases the flexibility of the system, and shorten the development cycle.In the part of OLED display control, adopts pure hardware method, No using soft nuclear and thereby reduced the burden of Niosâ…ˇprocessor, improve the working efficiency of the system.
