Digital Photo Frame Design Based On ARM Platform

In recent years, with the rapid development of electronic technology. Embeddedsystems have been widely used in many ways which include mobile phones, digital cameras,GPS navigation systems. With the popularity of digital cameras, digital photo frames havebecome a popular electronic devices. Digital photo frame not only has the photo displayfunction, but also has play the music, video, date display and many other functions. Comparedwith traditional photo frame, digital photo frames has a large storage capacity, and easy to use.Other digital photo frame system is not open source, which results in higher developmentcosts. In this paper, the main work which I finished as follows:1）The paper introduces the hardware circuit systems of Digital Photo Frame. The designincludes a clock circuit, FLASH memory module circuits, SDRAM circuit, LCD circuit, IISaudio circuit, power circuit and the SD card circuit. Man-machine interface of this DigitalPhoto Frame use a simple touch-screen operation.2) The paper introduces transplantation of Linux operating system. BootLodader usesuboot-1.1.6, kernel uses Linux-2.6.30.4, root file system is producted with busybox-1.13.0.The paper describes the root file system structure and the basic root file system directory.3) The paper designs system software platform. Driver design includes LCD driverdesign, touch screen device driver design, audio driver design, SD card driver design.Graphical user interface uses GUI design.The core processor of digital photo frame is Samsung’s S3C2440A core processors. Thisdigital photo frame can display digital photos, and adds music player, which adds toentertainment. The digital photo frame uses Linux as the operating system which isconvenient to upgrade the application and drivers. The GUI makes the interface morebeautiful.
