Country health management is a reform to adapt socialist market economy system, obey the rule of health enterprise and guarantee country residents' health. It is also the result of health resources recombination and the development of medical preventiveness in new days.Though this movement has already been carried out in many countries, there was still not uniform of it, so we did this research on management of country health.Objectives:This research was to define the concept of country health service management, definitude its contents, search after its form, suggest its methods, assess its effect, analysis its problems and offer some models for push country health service management.Methods:We adopted the combination of questionnaire investigating, experts' consultation and discussion. Questionnaire investigating: we used multi-staged stratified random sampling. Firstly, we chose one province separately from east and middle and two from west, and then chose one or two cities from these provinces. At last, we chose three countries from each city and did random-sampling in country health institutes. Experts' consultation: we organized some experts to discuss with country doctors and gain some advice on country health service. Discussion: this was to find main problems and their solutions. Results:1. The pure income per year of investigated population in Shangdong Province was 4910 yuan, that in Henan was 2883 yuan, in Gansu was 2844 yuan and in Qinghai was 969 yuan, which showed that there was great difference among these four provinces. The number of apparatuses in these four provinces were 1320, 407, 313 and 330. So the number of apparatuses per thousand people was 482.5, 484.3, 408.6 and 211.8.2. The number of physicians in these four provinces was117, 19, 330 and 8; the number of physicians per ten thousand people in them was 19.85, 9.89, 7.34 and 4.23.3. The percentage of physicians in these four provinces was 37.14%, 26.76%, 21.04% and 20.05%; the percentage of nurses was 31.53%, 23.80%, 14.75% and 20.00%; the percentage of pharmaceutists was 32.39%, 31.81%, 22.72% and 12.50%4. The highest proportion of income of country medical chambers was 92.57% and the lowest proportion was 3.56%.5. The initial problem to restrict the development of country medical chambers was the shortage of basic medical establishment, the second was the pay of doctors and the third was the finance.6. The most important policy was to increase the funds of government and make the investment policy more clear; the second was to solve insurance of country doctors and the third was to train country doctors.Conclusions:1. Different country medical chambers owned different medical resources in different economy counties and with the increase of economy, the number of doctors per thousand people increased and the highest was in the east and the lowest in the west.2. In different economy counties, the number of doctors were different and the difference was great, but it could meet the need.3. The title of a technical post of country doctors was low and the difference of it was great.4. Country medical chambers lived on selling drugs and made profits.5. There were still many problems need solve and the core of it was to strengthen the leading abilities of the government.Issues and Suggestions1. Situate policy of incorporation2.
