Nursing quality is an important constitution of hospital quality.How to evaluate hospital nursing services and quality comprehensively and scientifically is one of the important research projects on hospital management.The Health Department declared recently that one of the important research projects is to build up completed nursing quality evaluation.Referring to the present nursing quality evaluation in Shanghai and other places, the present study is intended to establish two new indicators,case observation and health promotion ,in the light of scientific research approaches, conceptions and techniques on the basis of extensive investigation, literature review,experts consultion,site surveys and argumentation.Also,we get the reliability , and validty by small-scale trial practice.We hope that it may provide valuable advice and reference for further development of studies on nursing quality evaluation.This is a new way to establish the two indicators guided by patient-centered thinking and based on disease.The reference answer to every disease on nursing quality evaluation would be scientific,strict and practical through experts consultion.We study out the reference answer of a kind of disease,as an example.The creativity lies in the different reference answer to different disease and patient first,following by the international nursing study step.The study has completed the nursing quality evaluation on case observation and health promotion.It is fair and lead to better nursing services by human-centered evaluation.The result obtained from 2 hospitals of Shanghai showed the reliability and validity of evaluation on new indicators is high. At the same time,it got good praise of involved nurses.
