With the expansion and deepening of the management fields, BPR has been applied tomany industries widely. But, it has not been applied to reconstructing the administrative processof the hospital perfectly whose business process is comparatively complex. The author producesnew BPR strategy for the large and secondary hospitals after researching the business process ofthe hospital. Besides, the author analyzes the information management systemically and devisesnew methods to carry out BPR using the information technology, aiming at improving the workefficiency and the serving quality of the hospital.The author analyzes and optimizes the hospital business process based on the BPR theory,in order to explore new effective methods to improve on the hospital business process. Firstly,improve the serving quality, meet the needs of the patients timely and serve the patientsefficiently and considerately. Secondly, strengthen the management to the medical staff. Thirdly,utilize the advance information technology to integrate the existing information system andestablish new integrative hospital information system through process optimizing, therebydiffusing and sharing information quickly, providing evidence for the decision-making andenhancing the work efficiency and normative. Finally, reduce the medical cost gradually.The author puts the paper into five parts. After the preface, Chapter 2 presents the basictheory and methods of BPR which are the base of the following article. Chapter 3 analyzes theproblems of the business process and problems that occurred of the object hospital. Chapter 4puts forward several suggestions on the information management based on the BPR afterinvestigating a large hospital in Tianjin.
