Business Process Reengineering Through Information Technology In Foshan Nanhai People's Hospital

Medical and health are not remote from our everyday life at all. With the intensifying of the health system in our country reform, people are focusing on medical problem. For example, high expenses for medicine blamed for it is not patient-centered. And with the spreading of medical system reform and the deep and opening up of service industry, medical service industry will more and more competitively, also accompanying with the problems of hospital management process. Therefore, hospital starts on improving patient's satisfaction and work efficiency while reducing empirical cost for BRP. It has become the latest trend sweeping the BRP with advanced information technology.For this purpose, this paper uses the theory of Business Process Reengineering(BRP) for analyzing characteristic,step and methods of BRP and effects of information technology. On this basis of deep investigation about the people's hospital of Nanhai ,Foshan,analyzing all kinds of problems about BRP, I am planning out outpatient service process,inpatient process optimization,Office Automation System(OA) building,Logistics Management building,network station building,Member Center building with CRM theory,regional health information platform and so on. All above are widening traditional BRP's scope thus it is making beneficial explore for hospital management reform and patient-centered.
