Long-time programs of clinical medical education has already become the inexorable trend of medical education development. With constant enlargement of the enrollment scale of Seven-Year Program of Clinical Medicine, how to strengthen the professional degree cultivation of Seven-Year Program of Clinical Medicine, improve teaching quality, cultivate smart student that have the ability of integrating theory with practice, train the high-quality graduate whose theory combined with practice, all above form a subject which we should explore and consider constantly. With the transition of medical model, in order to integrate with the international medical education, the National Ministry of Education adopt Seven -Year Program of Clinical Medicine as a pilot project in some university with better condition. Cultivation of clinical ability has already become the focal point to medical education as long-time programs of clinical medical education entering a stage of ripeness. Jilin University, as one of the pilot universities, has already recruited 1461 students since 1988, and 319 graduated now. In 1995, Ministry of Education claimed that " Seven Years Cultivation, Bachelor To Master, Foundation Strengthened, Quality Emphasized, Global Optimized, Clinic Served " should be the keynote in Seven-Year Program of Clinical Medicine Education mode. With the reduction of the enrollment scale of five-year system and enlargement of the enrollment scale of Seven-Year Program, in order to adapt to the social demand, professional degree cultivation in Seven -Year System of Clinical Medicine has become the focal point which experts paid close attention to. Jilin University as a pilot unit for the professional degree cultivation authorized by National Ministry of Education, through nearly 7 years practice, have accumulated some experience in the professional degree cultivation of clinical medicine of Seven-Year Program. However, there are still some problems in practice. In order to improve the professional degree of clinical medicine of Seven-Year Program, The First Institutes of Clinical Medicine, the Second Institutes of Clinical Medicine and the Third Institutes of Clinical Medicine trained 135 students of that kind from 2002 to 2005 in total. In ordeer to summarize and investigate the professional degree cultivation in Seven-Year Program of Clinical Medicine of our university, the investigations of these students is necessary. This research is based on the review of domestic reform of professional degree cultivation in Seven-Year Program of Clinical Medicine. The methods we adopt are questionnaire (questionnaire for half open) investigation as well as study of management files and graduation thesis. The questionnaire was sent to students, tutors, educational and employing unit to collect feedback data. Adopt descriptive statistics methods, make further research of professional degree cultivation in Seven -Year System of Clinical Medicine in the First Institutes of Clinical Medicine, the Second Institutes of Clinical Medicine and the Third Institutes of Clinical Medicine of our university, expect to offer the effective basis to long-time programs of clinical medical education and professional degree cultivation in Seven -Year System of Clinical Medicine in future, to improve the quality of long-time programs of clinical medical education in an all-round way, make the professional degree cultivation in Seven -Year System of Clinical Medicine adapt to the China's actual conditions and social demand. Accumulate experience for the transition from seven -year system to eight -year system of clinical medicine education. The investigation result shows: on one hand, the quantity of Seven-Year Program Master degree candidates of clinical medicine cultivated by our university, especially the clinical professional degree graduate students, increase progressively year by year; On the other hand, feedback data from the employing unit showed that their higher clinical work and scientific research ability; feedback result from students, educational and employing unit alsoshowed that tutor's work, course structure , clinical practice ability cultivation, clinical scientific research ability cultivation , are satisfacting. All above reflect that the professional degree cultivation in Seven-Year Program of Clinical Medicine professional can meet the needs of self-development and high-level demand of clinician in modern society. The content of the academic dissertation is divided into two main parts: the first part is a review, the second part is the clinical research, two parts should combine closely. In the document review, students must learn and grasp the front topic of clinical research through consulting the domestic and foreign documents, which have played important role on the setting-up of the thinking method of clinical research. Through investigation and research of professional degree cultivation in Seven -Year System of Clinical Medicine, we draw the following conclusion: 1. The enrollment scale of Seven-Year Program of clinical medicine is expanding constantly, the cultivation of the professional degree graduate student of clinical medicine of seven -year system can meet the demand of modern medical system, the medical education of long-time program have already become the trend of modern medical training system. 2. Seven-Year Program of clinical medicine of our university has already been set up progressively and becoming riper gradually, the professional degree cultivation system is becoming better and approaching perfection day by day too. 3. How to strengthen the professional degree of clinical medicine of seven -year system, perfect the professional degree training methods and clinical ability examine system, cultivate high-quality graduate students whose theory combined with practice, has already become the subject should be explored and thought constantly in clinical medical education of long-time program. 4. Carry on some tentative supplementary and adjustment to the examination system of professional degree cultivation in Seven -Year System of Clinical Medicine, expect to be examined, perfected further in practice.Clinical ability training is the core of professional degree cultivation in Seven-Year Program of Clinical Medicine. This research investigate the clinical ability exam system, the result shows its evaluation criterion is objective and normal, easy to master and implement, but there is less evaluation index, no relatively unified evaluation criterion to check and rate. So, combining the existing criteria, we check and rate the structure of clinical ability exam system, and revise the evaluation criterion. The index structure of the examination system after revising, include: First class index, several second index and tertiary index, which has put forward the evaluation criterion. In summary, the implementation of professional degree cultivation in Seven -Year System of Clinical Medicine, perfected the mode of clinical medicine education of graduate student, promote long-time program of the medical education in our country, transform graduate students from scientific type to clinic-serving and inter-disciplinary type. Though some questions still exist in the course of implementing, in the long run, this mode is an only way of training advanced students of clinical medicine, which is a essential condition engaged in doctor's job and a need of the medical education internationalization too.
