Objective: To observe the clinical curative effect of pediatric massage based on "Siming points" in intervention with mild and moderate myopia.With naked eye vision and postcilioparesis refraction used as the main outcome measures,and the ocular axial length,ocular temperature and ocular comfort score identified as the secondary outcome measures,the efficacy is highly evaluated.Also,Experimental study on the guinea pigs with lens-induced myopia is conducted to initially explore the role the mechanism of "Siming points" massage intervention plays in myopia effect.Methods: "Siming point" used for prevention and treatment of children and adolescents myopia as children massage technique considered Shandong Province traditional Chinese medicine characteristic therapy was widely carried out in clinical practice,and has achieved good clinical effect.The relative discussion on this technique was mainly made in this subject.This project was divided into three parts.In the first part,the understanding of myopia in the Chinese medicine and modern medicine was clarified through consulting literature and classics,the theoretical basis of the pediatric massage technique based on "Siming point" for the prevention and cure of myopia in children and adolescents was discussed,and also the method of operation was elaborated.In the second part,eighty cases of children with mild and moderate myopia aged 6-12 years were selected,randomly divided into two groups,which were pediatric massage group based on "Siming point" and conventional massage group,in order to investigate the efficacy of pediatric massage based on "Siming points" with mild and moderate myopia.Through observing the naked eye vision,postciliary muscle paralysis refraction,axial length,eye temperature and eye comfort score before and after intervention,and comparing the difference of therapy between two groups,the point was to clarify the optimal effect of pediatric massage based on "Siming points" in intervention with mild and moderate myopia.In the third part,the theme was to explore the effects of "Siming points" massage on the ocular parameters of myopic guinea pigs and pathological histology.First,thirty British tricolor shorthair guinea pigs aged 2-week-old selected was randomly divided into blank control group,lens induced myopia group and lens induced myopia massage group,then the refraction before and after the intervention of three groups,axial length and eye temperature was observed.Next,after anesthesia and execution,HE staining was performed on the sclera,choroid and retina of the three groups to observe the histopathological changes in the three myopic models,so as to clarify the changes of "Siming points" massage on the myopic guinea pigs’ eyes.Results:In the clinical study,it suggested that after the end of massage intervention,the naked eye vision and eye temperature of both pediatric massage observation group and control group had improved,and the ocular comfort scores of both groups had decreased.The naked eye visual acuity,ocular temperature and ocular comfort scores were statistically significant when compared within and between groups(P<0.05).Both the postciliary muscle paralysis refraction and axial length increased after the intervention,but the growth speed of observation group increased more slowly than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant according to the statistical analysis(P<0.01).And the clinical efficacy was remarkably different in terms of the statistical analysis(P<0.05).In the experimental study,the eyes of the blank control group,lensinduced myopia group and lens-induced myopia massage group was compared inside and between groups respectively,it showed that the data of refraction,axial length and ocular temperature were statistically significant(P<0.05).The refraction and axial length growth rate in massage group were lower than that of the model group,and the ocular temperature of massage group was higher than that of the model group.After the comparison between the sclera,choroid,and retinal histopathological sections,it demonstrated that the number,arrangement and linkage of cells in the sclera and retina of the guinea pigs were changed in both the model group and the massage group,and the number of choroidal vessels was reduced,but the changes in the massage group were smaller than those in the model group.Conclusion:1.Pediatric massage based on "Siming point" in increasing the naked vision and eye temperature and eye discomfort of myopic children,slowing down the growth rate of myopia refraction and eye axis is better than conventional massage.2.Pediatric massage based on "Siming points" slowed down the development of refraction in the lens-induced myopia models,delayed the growth rate of the eye axis,and had the intervention effect on inhibiting the development of myopia,which might be related to the fact that massage can maintain the structural integrity of the sclera and retinal tissues,the normalization of cell morphology and the number of choroidal vessels. |
