ObjectiveSystematically evaluate the effectiveness of massage in the treatment of juvenile myopia, and provide evidence-based basis for follow-up clinical trials. To observe the clinical efficacy of Zen massage in the treatment of juvenile myopia, and to provide more effective means for the clinical treatment of the disease.MethodsCNKI,VIP,CBM,Pubmed,The Cochrane Library and Wanfang databases were searched for randomized controlled trials on massage treatment of juvenile myopia.According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, two reviewers independently screened the literatures, extracted the data and evaluated the quality of the included literatures, and used Revman 5.3 for meta analysis.60 cases(120 eyes)with myopia were selected and randomly divided into observation group(30 cases)and control group(30 cases)with traditional massage. After three courses of treatment, the clinical efficacy, visual acuity, axial length and diopter were observed.ResultsFinally,10 randomized controlled studies involving 1065 eyes and 276 subjects were included. The results of meta-analysis showed that the total effective rate of massage in the treatment of juvenile myopia(OR=3.58,95%CI [2.49,5.17],P<0.00001),suggesting that the curative effect of massage in the treatment of juvenile myopia is better than other therapies, and the difference is statistically significant. No adverse reactions were reported. After three courses of treatment, the visual acuity and diopter of the observation group and the control group were improved(P<0.01),and the axial length had no significant change(P>0.05),but the improvement of visual acuity in the observation group was significantly better than that in the control group(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the observation group was 88.3%,while that of the control group was 69.3%.The observation group was better than the control group(P<0.05).ConclusionMassage is effective in the treatment of juvenile myopia. However, due to the low quality of the literature included in this study and the small sample size,it is necessary to carry out more high-quality randomized controlled clinical trials to further verify its efficacy and provide more reliable evidence-based basis for clinical practice. The total effective rate, visual acuity and diopter of Chan Rou massage in the treatment of juvenile myopia are better than those of traditional massage, which is worthy of further clinical application.
