It is considered that idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) belong to FEIWEI in the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), but it is also similar to FEIBI during the development span of the disease. In the micromechanism, during the transude period of alveolus inflammation, a lot of inflamed substance effuse to the alveolus, casusing phlegm and blood stasis, the pulmonary channel is obstructed, this is FEIBI in TCM. If the pathological changes continued, the pulmonary fibrosis will be presented, the lung will gradually lose its function and become a hull, it is FEIWEI in TCM. So the IPF is the FEIWEI comes after FEIBI. During the evolvement of IPF, FEIBI and FEIWEI exist at the same time, they form the complex condition of weaking combined soliding.
