Objective1. To understand the quality of life state and its related factors for Perimenopausal woman aged40-60years in Changsha.2. To understand the epidemiology characteristics and correlated influential factor of perimenopause syndromes in the community of Changsha.3. To study the perimenopause syndromes of community women in Changsha and their influence on their quality o f life.4. Compared with Kupperman Index and WHOQOL-BRIEF, to investigate the availability of MENQOL evaluating the severity of perimenopause syndromes and effecting of quality of life.MethodsBy random sampling, three residential areas were chosen from a Changsha community. In three residential area340women who participated the study voluntarily were investigated with a questionnaire (including demology, MENQOL, Kupperman Index and WHQOL-BREF) for the basic data. Compared with Kupperman Index and WHOQOL-BRIEF, to investigate the availability of MENQOL evaluating the severity of perimenopause syndromes and effecting of quality of life.ResultsWe got340validated from340questionnaires with answering rate100%.1. The incidence rate of perimenopause syndromes is relatively high, the incidence in4domainsof the perimenopause syndromes takes turns from high to low physical is91.76%, psychosocial is85.59%, vasomotor is51.7%and sexual is24.12%.2. The influence of perimenopause syndromes on the quality o f life, takes turns from high to low:psychosocial, physical, vasomotor and sexual.3. Based on multiple linear regression analysis, the affect factors correlated with perimenopause syndromes were hypertension, diabetes mellitus, lifeevents, Menstrualflow, condition of economy, smoking, drinking and education.4. Compared with Kupperman Index and WHOQOL-BRIEF, MENQOL was proved relatively high availability in criterion-related validity. ConclusionThere are relatively high incidences of menopausal symptoms among community in Changsha city, which affect the quality of life of perimenopausal women. And such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus, life events, Menstrual flow, condition of economy, smoking, drinking and education were significant correlation with the incidence rate and severity of menopausal symptoms.
