| It is of great significance for promoting the healthy and sustainable development of tea industry to deeply understand and accurately grasp the spatio-temporal variation of regional tea production and its causes.Hubei Province, the leading province of Ten Thousand Li Tea Route and the major province of tea production, was selected as the research area.Mathematical statistics,GIS technology, spatial analysis model and geographical detector were comprehensively used to investigate the spatio-temporal pattern evolution and driving factors of tea production in Hubei Province from 2000 to2020.Based on the panel data of tea production in Hubei province, the temporal variation characteristics of tea production in Hubei Province were analyzed statistically on different spatial scales. The spatial pattern evolution of tea production was measured from the perspective of direction distribution and center of gravity migration, and its spatial agglomeration characteristics were explored. The distribution of tea yield increase was analyzed and the leading contributing factors were identified by factor decomposition.Natural resources, production factors, social economy and other indicators were selected to explore the main sources of driving forces for the temporal and spatial evolution of tea production in Hubei province,so as to provide a scientific basis for optimizing the layout of tea industry, and propose countermeasures and suggestions to promote the development of tea industry in Hubei province. The main research conclusions are as follows:(1)From 2000 to 2020,tea planting area, tea picking area, tea yield and tea per unit area in Hubei Province had a significant increase on the whole, but showed different stage changes and growth rates. The main producing areas have obvious advantages and their advantages have been significantly improved. In terms of spatial distribution, tea production in Hubei Province is dominated by mountain areas in northwest Hubei, southwest Hubei, low hilly areas in north Hubei and low hilly areas in southeast Hubei, while tea industry in plain areas in central Hubei is relatively weak.(2)There were significant differences in the direction distribution of tea production among different terrain regions. The concentration degree of tea planting area was enhanced, and the coverage of tea yield advantage areas in northwest Hubei, southwest Hubei and southeast Hubei expanded, while that in northern Hubei and central Hubei decreased. From the perspective of the whole province, the tea planting area and tea yield showed a pattern close to "due east-west" and slightly inclined to "northeast-southwest".In all directions, the spatial distribution of tea planting area had a significant diffusion effect, while the tea yield share had a certain shrinkage. The center of gravity of both shows a southwesterly shift.(3)The agglomeration characteristics of tea planting area in counties were significant and enhanced significantly.Since 2008,tea yield showed spatial correlation, and its degree of agglomeration also showed a rising trend. The "high-high" agglomeration areas are mainly concentrated in the mountainous areas of northwest Hubei and southwest Hubei.Hot spots and sub-hot spots show an expanding trend in the fluctuation, mainly concentrated in northwest Hubei and southwest Hubei.Cold spots and sub-cold spots are mainly distributed in central Hubei and southeast Hubei.(4)In the past 20 years, the counties in Hubei Province showed a trend of expanding first and then decreasing. There were significant differences in time and space between the contribution of area expansion and unit yield increase to tea yield increase. From the perspective of the whole province and the five regions respectively, the main contributing factors of tea increase varied in different time periods, but the area was more dominant factor.(5)The spatio-temporal pattern of tea production in Hubei Province was influenced by natural resources, production factors and social economy. The explanation degree of each metric index for the spatio-temporal differentiation of tea production in Hubei Province showed an overall rising trend, and the effect intensity of different variables in different periods was quite different. In summary, the natural resources factors played the most significant role.In natural resource conditions, meteorological, topographic and soil variables all had higher explanations for tea planting area in different periods, and the main influencing factors of tea yield were mainly meteorological and topographic. The driving effects of each variable on tea planting area and tea yield were not independent of each other, but showed pair interaction. The results of interactive detection mainly fall into two types: nonlinear enhancement and double factor enhancement. |
