| The rural revitalisation strategy is a major strategy put forward by the 19 th National Congress of the Party. As a mutual economic organisation of voluntary associations of farmers in the field of modern agriculture, agricultural co-operatives are an important subject in promoting agricultural industrialisation, helping to revitalise the countryside and establishing a modern agricultural business system. As the number of registered farmers’ cooperatives is on the rise, problems in many aspects have hindered the growth of their own performance, which is not conducive to rural revitalization. Therefore,it is of great significance to evaluate and analyse the performance of farmers’ cooperatives in the context of rural revitalisation at this stage.Based on the stakeholder theory and transaction cost theory, this paper evaluates the performance of farmers’ cooperatives in Dawang Town on the basis of research and analysis of the current situation of the development of farmers’ cooperatives in Dawang Town, analyses the factors affecting their performance, and then gives suggestions for countermeasures in the context of rural revitalisation. This paper adopts the analytical method to select the indicators that can act on rural revitalization, establish a complete performance evaluation indicator system with secondary and tertiary indicators, and determine the indicator weights according to the hierarchical analysis method. The raw data data of the research are processed dimensionlessly using the efficacy coefficient method, and the processed values are combined with the linear comprehensive evaluation model to obtain the evaluation and analysis of the comprehensive and secondary indicators, and on this basis, the influencing factors are analysed. The study concluded that: firstly, the average performance level of farmers’ co-operatives in Dawang Town lies at the passing stage;secondly, the co-operatives with better overall performance excel in the indicators under each secondary indicator;thirdly, what farmers’ co-operatives in Dawang Town are currently doing more prominently is in the areas of service provision and quality control, and they are not perfect in the areas of resource allocation and organisational management, and their performance level is low.Secondly,by studying the factors influencing the performance level of cooperatives, the following conclusions were reached: the cooperative awareness of members, the strength of education and popularisation, whether the production is standardised and has its own brand of agricultural products, whether the benefit distribution system is supported by the government, the reasons of the chairman himself and whether the cooperative system is perfect have a significant impact on the performance of cooperatives. Therefore, based on the previously analysed problems arising from farmers’ cooperatives in Dawang Town and the factors influencing the level of performance, and in the context of rural revitalisation, the three aspects of actively playing the leading role of the government, enhancing the self-motivation of farmers’ cooperatives and playing the main role of farmers are targeted, and targeted measures and countermeasure suggestions to promote the long-term development of cooperatives are proposed according to the existing problems of cooperatives. |
