The hotel industry is a labor-intensive industry,and its product quality,service quality,and profitability level determine whether a hotel can stand out in market competition.As the most important production factor,people play a crucial role in the effectiveness of the above work.Performance management is a key management activity that runs through the entire process of talent selection,employment,education,and retention.The scientific and effective implementation of performance management is related to whether an enterprise can achieve its goals in fierce commercial competition.This article takes BS Hotel as an example,by reviewing relevant literature and learning the theoretical basis of performance management system,and diagnosing the current situation of BS Hotel’s operation and performance management system through questionnaire survey,it is found that there are many problems in its performance management system,such as the lack of clear strategic goals,unreasonable goal formulation and decomposition,incomplete performance process management mechanism,and poor performance evaluation and application results.Based on the research on the problems existing in the BS hotel performance management system,combined with methods such as the balanced scorecard and key performance indicator method,and based on clarifying the hotel’s strategic goals,a standard method for setting hotel performance goals is established,and various personnel performance indicators and evaluation methods are constructed by hierarchical classification.At the same time,the hotel performance management mechanism is improved,and management standards such as performance process warning and upgrading,coaching and improvement are established to improve the hotel performance rating evaluation standards,Associate performance results with salaries,bonuses,and promotions to establish a complete set of performance management system optimization plans that are suitable for the characteristics of the hotel industry.At the same time,formulate specific guarantee measures for key influencing factors in the implementation process of the hotel performance management system plan,such as organizational guarantee,personnel guarantee,cultural guarantee,etc.,to ensure the smooth implementation of the plan.The research in this article not only optimizes the entire process of BS hotel performance management system,improves the overall management ability and level of the hotel,supports the achievement of hotel strategic goals,but also provides a certain reference for theoretical research on the construction of performance management system in the hotel industry.
