| With China’s economic development entering the new normal,under the background of the new wave of i ndustrial revolution and technological revolution coming,sustained high-quality development of manufact uring industry has become the main task of our country at the present stage and the leading force that supp orts our economy to jump to a higher stage.At the same time,it is the necessary way to realize manufactur ing industry power in our country.However,China’s manufacturing industry has always been large but not strong,and the products of many industries are still in the middle and low end of the global value chain sy stem.Under this background,how to improve the generation rate,improve the technical complexity of ma nufacturing export,and increase our international competitive advantage is bound to attract extensive atten tion from scholars and countries.On the long road of China’s manufacturing industry from large to strong,digital economy as the source power to enable manufacturing industry,traditional manufacturing industry digested and absorbed digital technology and gained new competitiveness,so the rapid rise.With the deep ening of the embedment degree of digital economy,new economic models derived from digital economy,s uch as sharing economy and platform economy,have exerted a non-negligible impact on people’s life,indu strial innovation and even national economy.Therefore,in order to promote the intelligent transformation and digital transformation of the manufacturing industry,this thesis,from the theoretical and empirical per spectives,is committed to making a certain degree of contribution to improving the technical complexity o f export.This thesis reviews and summarizes the relevant trends in the field of digital economy and export technica l complexity,attempts to define digital economy based on the existing literature,and analyzes the impact o f digital economy embedding on the technical complexity of Chinese manufacturing export.Based on the data of ADB-MRIO from 2011 to 2021,this thesis firstly collates the manufacturing classification table,an d constructs the comprehensive level measurement index of digital economy development from three dime nsions to explain it.Then,based on China’s provincial panel data,the thesis explores the influence and me chanism of digital economy embedding on the technical complexity of China’s manufacturing export.The results show that digital economy embedment significantly improves the technical complexity of export of Chinese manufacturing industry.According to the classification of manufacturing industry types,the effec t of digital economy embedding on knowledge-intensive,capital-intensive and technology-intensive indust ries is significantly different,and the effect is more significant in technology-intensive industries.Reducin g transaction cost and promoting industrial integration are two basic paths for digital economy to improve the technical complexity of manufacturing export.Based on the excessive problem of manufacturing intell igence,it is found that the digital economy has a threshold effect on improving the technical complexity of manufacturing export.Beyond a certain limit,the promotion effect of continuing to pursue the digitalizati on and intelligent upgrading of manufacturing industry will decrease.Therefore,optimize the development of the digital economy and environment,improve the construction of digital infrastructure,stimulate the vitality of technological innovation,and orderly promote the digital and intelligent transformation of the manufacturing industry. |
