The Impact Of Digital Economy Development On The Export Technology Complexity

In recent years,the rapid development of the digital economy has had a profound impact on the global economy and trade,and the number of China’s export products has continued to grow,but there is still a certain gap between product quality and developed countries.In the era of digital economy,the competition of enterprises has shifted from the competition of products themselves to the competition of technology and intellectual property rights,which means that technological complexity has become an important factor for enterprises to compete in the international market.Therefore,studying the impact of digital economy on the complexity of export technology is of great significance for understanding the new characteristics and trends of international competition of enterprises in the era of digital economy,and is also an important basis for enterprises to formulate internationalization strategies.How to use the digital economy to promote the upgrading of China’s export technology complexity and make China a trading power is a key issue that needs to be solved urgently.This paper aims to study the impact of the development of the digital economy on the complexity of China’s export technology.Based on the research foundation of predecessors,this paper first sorts out the literature related to digital economy,the relevant literature on export technology complexity and the relevant literature on the impact of digital economy development on export technology complexity,and believes that the digital economy indirectly promotes the improvement of provincial export technology complexity through the two paths of promoting technological innovation and industrial structure upgrading,and analyzes the regulatory effect of market-oriented change on the process of digital economy affecting export technology complexity.Analyze the impact of spatial spillover effects of digital economy on the technical complexity of exports in neighboring regions.At the same time,the paper shows the measurement results of the development level of digital economy and export technology complexity in the form of tables and graphs,and makes inter-provincial comparisons.In terms of empirical evidence,this paper selects China’s provincial panel data from 2011 to 2020 as a sample,sets export technology complexity as the explanatory variable,digital economy development as the core explanatory variable,establishes a fixed effect model with per capita GDP,education intensity,foreign direct investment,R&D investment,financial development index and infrastructure as control variables,constructs an intermediary effect model with technological innovation and industrial structure upgrading as two intermediary indicators for mechanism analysis,and selects market-oriented index,The relationship between the government and the market,the development of non-state-owned economy,the development degree of product market,the development degree of factor market and the level of legal system were tested as regulating variables,and the two-way spatial Dubin model was set to test the spatial spillover effect of digital economy development.Based on the above research content,this paper draws the following conclusions.During the sample period,the level of digital economy development and export technology complexity at the provincial level in China showed an overall upward trend,and there was heterogeneity between different regions.The development of digital economy has a promoting effect on the technical complexity of provincial export products,and shows heterogeneity in different regions,different levels of export technical complexity,and different levels of human capital.In addition,the degree of marketization,government regulation,non-state-owned economic development,product market development,factor market development,and legal system level play a positive regulating role in the process of digital economy promoting the complexity of export technology,at the same time,the digital economy can drive the improvement of export technology complexity in adjacent regions through space spillover,that is,the development of digital economy is conducive to improving the complexity of export technology.Improve the structure of export trade and enhance product quality.Finally,relevant policy suggestions are put forward based on the research content:strengthen the construction of digital infrastructure,promote coordinated and balanced development between regions,encourage enterprises to carry out technological innovation and industrial structure upgrading,give full play to the regulatory role of the market in the development of the digital economy,give full play to the spatial spillover effect of the digital economy,promote cross-border cooperation,and establish an innovation ecosystem that integrates industry,education and research.
