The current world economic situation is very complex now.Our country is faced with such issues as trade tension,supply chain obstruction,and trade protectionism and antiglobalization among the major economies of the world.The relationship between the major countries presents the game situation of rule lock and anti-rule lock,and our economic development faces unprecedented challenges.The Central Economic Work Conference in2021 and the Government Work Report in 2022 both put forward new requirements for the strategy of innovation-driven development.In April 2022,The State Council also mentioned in its opinions on accelerating the building of a national unified large market that it is necessary to give full play to the advantages of super-large markets with rich application scenarios and amplified benefits from innovation.We will improve systems and mechanisms for promoting the market-based application of achievements in independent innovation,and support scientific and technological innovation and the development of emerging industries.Based on this background,it is of great significance to research the impact of regional technological innovation ability on industrial structure upgrading.By combing domestic and foreign literature on regional science and technology innovation and industrial structure upgrading,this paper summarizes the basic concepts and theoretical basis,and then explores the specific mechanism of regional science and technology innovation ability affecting industrial structure upgrading.Employing the global principal component analysis and entropy technique,the status quo of technological innovation capability and industrial structure upgrading in each province was measured from2008 to 2019,and the development dilemma of regional technological innovation capability and industrial structure upgrading was then examined.Based on this,a fixed effect model was constructed to empirically analyze the specific impact of regional science and technology innovation capability on industrial structure upgrading,and further analyze the heterogeneity from three aspects: regional,stage and dimension.According to the research,the corresponding conclusions are drawn:(1)The development status of regional scientific and technological innovation capability in our country is in the process of steady improvement,showing obvious regional heterogeneity in spatial dimension,and the gap between the eastern,central and western regions is obvious;(2)The upgrading level of China’s industrial structure has been improving on the whole,but there are still some problems in the development process,such as significant regional differences and the mismatch of internal elements of the industrial structure;(3)It is confirmed that the regional scientific and technological innovation capacity has a significant role in promoting the upgrading of the industrial structure,which is more obvious in promoting the upgrading and optimization of the industrial structure.Finally,according to the conclusions obtained,the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are put forward for regional scientific and technological innovation ability to promote the upgrading of industrial structure: first,improve the input-output efficiency of regional scientific and technological innovation;Second,promote the upgrading of industrial structure to improve the "quality";Third,we need to narrow regional gaps and leverage our strengths to strengthen our weaknesses. |
