| The report of the 20th Party Congress has stressed that in order to ensure the continuous development of rural revitalisation,it is necessary to correctly understand the valuable role of socialised services of agriculture and to use the policy advantages to become an important driving force for agricultural development.With the booming development of agricultural socialised services,market competition has become increasingly fierce and socialised services have continued to show diversified and specialised development.Agricultural socialization services,as the main study of China’s agricultural enterprise system reform,have brought about profound changes in rural economy and society.In recent years,the edible mushroom industry has emerged as an industry with high productivity and high production value among many traditional agricultural industries,and is developing rapidly in many regions of the country.Agricultural social services in Gutian County have created a unique "county factory" production model,which has led to the development of the edible mushroom industry and the steady growth of edible mushroom production in Gutian County.Taking together the existing studies on the edible mushroom industry and the literature on agri-socialization,the role of agri-socialization as a mechanism of retailers’ incomes was investigated,based on agri-industry factor theory,farmer behaviour theory,cost-benefit theory and scaling theory.The Order Probit model was used to examine the impact of the introduction of social services on the incomes of edible food retail households,taking silverbeef farmers in Gutian County as the study object.The Order Probit model was used to further investigate the mediating effect of activity scale on the impact of agricultural social services on the income of edible mushroom retail households.The results indicate that:1)the adoption of agricultural labor services has a significant positive effect on the income of Gutian County edible mushroom retailing households;2)the adoption of agricultural credit,agricultural market information services,agricultural intermediation services,and agricultural labor services has a significant positive effect on the income of Gutian County edible mushroom retailing households;3)the effect of socialized services on the scale of activities is significant and the scale of activities has a significant effect on the income of agricultural households.Agricultural social services increase total household income through optimal allocation of agricultural inputs,improvement of production and operation,deepening of specialised division of labour and large-scale operation.Among these,agricultural labour and agricultural credit services compensate well for labour and capital shortages and have the most important impact on expanding the scale and income of agricultural households.A study on the mediating effects of enterprise scaling showed that the introduction of agricultural social services in edible mushroom retail households led to scaling up and that scaling up led to increased income of retail households,confirming the impact of social services on the income of edible mushroom retail households.Based on the results of the study,recommendations were made to encourage farmers to adopt social services,to do a better job of fine-tuning social services and to improve the level of social services. |
