| Standing at the intersection of a new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial revolution,the production mode of global manufacturing is transforming to intelligent manufacturing.Although the total export volume of China’s manufacturing industry is large,the technical content of export products is low and the export technology structure is not high,so it conforms to the development trend of manufacturing,changes the manufacturing production mode,promotes the deep integration of intelligent technology and manufacturing industry,and becomes the only way to improve the export technology structure of manufacturing industry and achieve high-quality development of foreign trade.This thesis focuses on the industry level,explores the influence of intelligence level on the technical complexity of manufacturing exports in various provinces in China,and provides directions for improving the technical structure of manufacturing exports and enhancing the core competitiveness of manufacturing exports.Starting from the relevant literature on intelligence and manufacturing export technology complexity,this thesis first defines the connotation of intelligence and manufacturing export technology complexity,determines the measurement method,and finds the correlation between intelligence and manufacturing export technology complexity according to the research direction and content of domestic and foreign scholars.Secondly,by constructing a comprehensive index system to measure the level of intelligence in China’s provinces,the“two-step method” is used to calculate the technical complexity of manufacturing exports in each province,and the regional differences in the technical complexity of intelligence and manufacturing exports in various provinces in China are described through comparative analysis.Then,a fixed-effect model is constructed for benchmark regression and robustness test to explore the influence of intelligence on the technical complexity of manufacturing exports.Finally,based on the mechanism analysis,the mediation effect model is used to reveal the influence mechanism of intelligence on the technical complexity of manufacturing exports,and the regional heterogeneity and temporal heterogeneity of the impact are explored according to the method of group regression.The main conclusions and recommendations of the full-text study are as follows:(1)The level of intelligence in China’s provinces shows a trend of increasing year by year,most provinces have a certain degree of fluctuation from 2011 to 2014,and at the same time,the complexity of manufacturing export technology in China’s provinces has also shown a steady upward trend,and the level of intelligence and manufacturing export technology complexity have the characteristics of unbalanced regional development,showing a trend of decreasing from the east to the west.(2)The results of benchmark regression,robustness test and endogenous test all show that intelligence does promote the technical complexity of China’s manufacturing export.(3)The results of the mediation effect model test show that intelligence can improve the technical complexity of China’s manufacturing exports by increasing R&D investment,enhancing technology spillover and improving human capital accumulation.(4)The results of grouping regression according to the eastern,central and western regions show that the intelligent level of central provinces has a more obvious effect on the technical complexity of manufacturing exports in the region,which may be due to the impact of technology spillover in the east,and the intelligent effect has not reached saturation at this stage,and there is still huge potential to be tapped;Through the analysis of time heterogeneity,it is found that the comprehensive deployment of manufacturing transformation and upgrading and the elevation of manufacturing intelligence to the height of national strategy can enhance the effect of intelligence on the technical complexity of manufacturing exports.Based on the above conclusions,this thesis puts forward three suggestions: first,increase investment in R&D to improve the independent innovation ability of China’s manufacturing industry;Secondly,focus on cultivating high-skilled talents to meet the needs of intelligent development of the manufacturing industry;Finally,the manufacturing development strategy is deployed according to the degree and conditions of intelligent development in various places,and measures are taken according to local conditions and situation. |
