A Study On The Measurement Of High Quality Development Level And Development Potential Of Guangxi’s Foreign Trade

As a part of the overall strategy of improving the quality of the national economy and structural adjustment,foreign trade is the "stabilizer" of economic growth and remains a problem that needs attention in the post epidemic era.In recent years,under the escort of policies,Guangxi has played the advantages of the new land sea channel in the west.Although the overall level of trade is still a certain distance from most provinces and cities in China,the overall form of foreign trade has gradually recovered.Based on the perspective of high-quality trade development,from multiple perspectives of the development of Guangxi’s foreign trade,this paper uses the relevant variables of Guangxi’s foreign trade from 2011 to 2021 to establish an indicator system of high-quality trade development level,and uses the entropy weight method to measure and analyze the high-quality development level of Guangxi’s foreign trade.Among them,the entropy weight given by the trade structure and trade kinetic energy is in the front row,and the comprehensive evaluation value is calculated.The product of Guangxi’s per capital GDP and the comprehensive evaluation index value is used to analyze the factors of trade potential.The expanded trade gravity model is used to obtain the estimated value of Guangxi’s trade potential,and then the potential classification between Guangxi and major trading countries and regions is obtained by comparing with the actual situation,Countries and regions with huge trade potential and developing trade potential account for a large proportion,while countries and regions with reshaping trade potential account for a relatively small proportion,but they still need to make efforts in development.Finally,in the context of the current campaign of "stabilizing foreign trade and expanding opening-up",Guangxi still needs to make efforts in optimizing the trade structure,restructuring the value chain,improving the trade development model,grasping the digital transformation,improving the trade development environment and other aspects to help the trade to be sustainable and promote the high-quality development of Guangxi’s foreign trade.
