Research On The Influence Of Digital Economy On The Green Development Of Enterprises

High-quality development is a new development mode China has been exploring since entering the new era,and green development is an important connotation of achieving high-quality development.However,balancing the relationship between economic development and ecological environmental protection has always been a "thorny problem" puzzling macro and micro subjects to achieve green development.Under this contradiction,whether the digital economy driven by digital technology can promote the overall development of economy and ecology is worth pondering and discussing.In terms of economy,the "booster" function of digital economy for economic development has been proved in practice.However,in terms of ecology,whether digital economy has a positive effect on green development needs to be further studied.Therefore,it is of great significance to explore the relationship between digital economy and green development,especially the green development of micro-dominant enterprises.Based on the development tide of digital economy and the strategic orientation of green development,this thesis constructs the panel data set of China’s A-share manufacturing listed companies and 285 prefecture-level cities in China from 2011 to 2019,and uses entropy method and principal component analysis method respectively to measure the enterprise green development index and urban digital economy index.The fixed effect model is further constructed to discuss the influence of digital economy on enterprise green development.Through literature research and theoretical review,this thesis explores the influence mechanism of digital economy on enterprise green development from two aspects of energy use efficiency and green technology innovation,and constructs mechanism effect model for testing.Based on the complex influence of multiple subjects,such as the government and the public,this thesis proposes the hypothesis that formal and informal environmental regulations may play a role in the process of digital economy affecting the green development of enterprises,and constructs a regulatory effect model for verification.Finally,the possible heterogeneity of the "green effect" of digital economy is analyzed.The findings are as follows: First,digital economy plays a positive role in promoting the green development of enterprises;On the one hand,the digital economy can promote the green development of enterprises by promoting the technological progress of enterprises and optimizing the production structure of enterprises.On the other hand,the digital economy can promote the green development of enterprises by easing the financing constraints of enterprises and improving the level of corporate governance,giving full play to the green technology innovation effect.Second,formal environmental regulation plays an obvious role in regulating environmental regulation,while informal environmental regulation plays an insignificant role in regulating environmental regulation.Third,the heterogeneity study found that the impact of digital economy on the green development of enterprises is more prominent in the central and eastern regions,resource-based cities,the middle and late stage of digital economy development and in private and other enterprises,while in the western regions,non-resource-based cities,the early stage of digital economy development and state-owned and foreign-funded enterprises,the impact is even less significant.Based on the above conclusions and the actual development situation in China,relevant suggestions are put forward: vigorously support the development of digital economy and give full play to the "green effect" of digital economy on micro enterprises;Enterprises to establish a sound scientific and efficient green development system to achieve the balance of economic benefits,ecological benefits and social benefits;Strengthen the government,the public and other environmental regulation forces,guide enterprises to take the "road of green development";Promoting the inclusive development of the digital economy and focus on bridging the digital divide.
