Research On The Impact Of Digital Transformation On Enterprise Green Technology Innovation

Since the reform and opening up,there is a great deal of economic development in China,but the traditional economic development concept only emphasizes economic growth,but ignores the protection of ecological environment,environmental pollution has affected the sustainable development of China’s economy.In recent years,the country has paid more and more attention to to green development,and a growing number of enterprises have paid attention to green technology innovation,which is the key driver for green development.However,due to the characteristics of "double-externality",green technology innovation has higher risks and longer periodicity than ordinary technology innovation,and has relatively high requirements on capital reserves and technical level,which leads to the lack of motivation for enterprises to continue to carry out green technology innovation.Therefore,in order to promote the process of green technology innovation,it is urgent to find measures that can increase the enthusiasm of enterprises.Digital transformation can open up the information transmission channels inside and outside the enterprise,improve information transparency to alleviate information asymmetry,so as to provide financial support for green technology innovation,and realize the integration of cross-domain technical knowledge to provide technical support for green technology innovation.Based on the above background,in order to find out the internal connection between digital development and green technology innovation,this paper explores the effect of digital transformation on enterprises’ green technology innovation through empirical research.Based on resource optimization effect and knowledge integration effect,this paper studies the relationship between digital transformation and green technology innovation.Taking the data of China’s listed enterprises from 2006 to 2021 as the research object,this paper conducts an empirical study by constructing a panel regression model with two-way fixed effects,and further explores the internal mechanism of the relationship between them.The empirical results show that:First,digital transformation plays a significant role in promoting enterprises’ green technology innovation.Second,on the one hand,the impact of digital transformation on enterprises’ green technology innovation is reflected in the easing of financing constraints,providing financial resources for green technology innovation.On the other hand,the improvement of technology integration ability lays a technical foundation for green technology innovation.Thirdly,redundant resources will negatively moderate the promoting effect of digital transformation on green technology innovation.Fourth,for enterprises with low internal control costs,state-owned or located in the eastern economic belt,digital transformation can play a more significant role in promoting green technology innovation.The research of this paper supplements the relevant theories of green technology innovation and digital transformation,and provides feasible suggestions for enterprises to realize green sustainable development and for the government to formulate green development policies according to local conditions.
