Tourism Economy And New Type Of Township In Ecological Function County Of Henan Province Study On Coupling And Coordination Of Urbanization

The coordinated growth of the tourism economy and new urbanisation is critical for the region to achieve "people-oriented and sustainable development," and is a crucial guarantee for the optimization of the industrial structure,the improvement of the social environment,the shrinking of the gap between urban and rural regions,and the enhancement of people’s quality of life.What is the relationship between tourism economy and new urbanisation,and how to promote the coordinated growth of tourism economy and new urbanisation in the county,is an important theoretical topic as well as an urgent practical problem that must be solved in the context of promoting urbanisation with the county as the carrier.The analysis framework of the coupling and coordination theory of tourism economy and new urbanization serves as the foundation for the construction of the evaluation index system of tourism economy and new urbanization,which is based on system theory,coupling and coordination theory,sustainable development theory,urban-rural integration theory,and common development theory.The comprehensive development evaluation model,the coupling and coordination degree model,the relative development degree model,and the spatial analysis tool are used to quantitatively depict the spatial evolution of the comprehensive development level and the coupling and coordination degree of each system in the ecological functional counties of Henan Province,which are used as the subject of the empirical investigation.The main findings of this study include pathways for optimization.Following are the key research findings:1.In the ecological function counties of Henan Province,the degree of overall growth of the tourism economy-new urbanization system is increasing during the course of the research period.The ecological and spatial urbanization subsystems in the research are still at a high level of development,meet the basic characteristics of an ecologically functional county,and the demographic,economic,social,and urban-rural integration subsystems are all considerably growing.At the level of each system,the overall development level of new urbanization is also improving.The tourist industry’s general growth momentum is positive,but the industry’s development level is still lowto-middle,and there is a significant development gap between it and the level of new urbanization’s complete development.2.The comprehensive development levels of the tourism economy system and the new urbanisation system in the ecological function counties of Henan Province both show obvious regional differences in spatial distribution,with the first place distributed obviously,but the developed areas of the comprehensive development levels of the two systems are not consistent.The difference in the comprehensive development level of new urbanization among counties is small,but the difference in the comprehensive development level of tourism economy is obvious.3.Among ecologically functional counties in Henan Province,the average value of the coupling degree between the tourism economy and new urbanization is 0.9269,placing the region overall at a high coupling stage.The two have a solid bond,and as time goes on,the degree of coupling increases until it reaches the resonant coupling stage of reciprocal advancement and shared growth.Throughout the research period,the coupling coordination degree showed three phases of growth: on the edge of disorder,barely coordinated,and primary coordination,progressively moving from the verge of disorder to the development state of mutual coordination.4.The coupling degree of tourism economy and new urbanisation in the ecologically functional counties of Henan Province shows three spatial development stages: antagonistic stage,abrasive stage and high level coupling stage.The degree of coupling coordination,on the other hand,shows five stages of development: serious dissonance,moderate dissonance,near dissonance,moderate coordination and good coordination.The spatial differences in the level of coupling and coordination are gradually reduced.5.The relative development degree of tourism economy and new urbanisation system in eco-functional counties is dominated by new urbanisation as the main type,except for Xixia County and Xin County,the rest of the counties are still far from the synchronous type of development.The level of coupling and coordination as well as the dominant type are affected by the county’s economic development accumulation,geographical circumstances,resource kinds,regional policies,and other variables.These outcomes are the consequence of the coordinated action of several internal and external forces.It is necessary to promote the coupled and coordinated development between the tourism economy and new urbanisation in the eco-functional counties of Henan Province by cultivating diversified driving mechanisms.
