| In recent years, rural tourism has gradually become one of the key development directions of China’s tourism industry. With the further development of rural tourism, some villages with traditional characteristics and rich folk customs have become the focus and hotspot of rural tourism development. Therefore,as one of the important subjects of rural tourism projects, villagers’ identification and active participation are of great significance for the sustainable development of rural tourism. This study mainly uses case analysis, participatory observation, and interview methods, based on the differential order pattern theory. The villagers in Nanfeng Q Village are surveyed and interviewed, first examining the characteristics of villagers’ motivation, awareness, and behavior in participating in rural tourism under the background of rural tourism development;Secondly, drawing on the relevant theories of the differential order pattern, based on the blood, kinship, and geographical relationships of traditional rural society, with interests, emotions, and ethics as the main thread, this paper explains the motivation mechanism of villagers’ participation in rural tourism under the influence of the differential order pattern; Finally,by exploring the positive utility in the differential order pattern and avoiding its negative impact, relevant incentive measures are proposed to enhance the willingness and ability of villagers to participate. The main research conclusions are as follows.Firstly, under the impact of the industrialization and localization of rural tourism, the willingness and ability of villagers to participate in rural tourism still need to be further improved; The second is the changes and new characteristics of social relationships linked by blood, kinship, and geography. The relationship between the differential order pattern factors such as interests, self, emotions, and ethics and the motivation, consciousness, and behavior of villagers to participate in rural tourism is more prominent and close. The differential order pattern and its subdivision factors have a significant positive impact on villagers’ participation in rural tourism behavior, with the greater impact being whether interests and self are satisfied,The less significant impact is whether emotions and ethics are recognized;Thirdly,it is possible to accurately analyze the motivations for villagers’ participation in rural tourism through the differential pattern theory, explore and reflect on the explanatory power of the differential pattern theory in villagers’ participation in rural tourism, and propose corresponding incentive measures for the problems of one-sided,low level, lack of initiative, and lack of confidence in villagers’ participation, such as profit driven, point to area,"bureaucratic" effect, and increased recognition.I hope that through this study,we can reunite the loose structure of rural social relations, reshape independent production and living spaces, awaken the endogenous development mechanism of traditional villages, restore the vitality of rural tourism self-development,and seek a rural tourism model that conforms to this order of development in the new era of differential pattern. |
